Hi, I’m Marilyn Hancock, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. Growing up with undiagnosed ADHD and dyslexia, I understand how difficult it can feel when the world doesn’t seem built for you. That experience fuels my passion for supporting neurodiverse adults, including those with ADHD, dyslexia, or on the autism spectrum, as well as individuals navigating anxiety, grief, PTSD, or depression. My approach is compassionate and collaborative—I’ll meet you where you are, honor your unique story, and help you build the tools and confidence to move forward. Together, we’ll work toward healing, growth, and creating a life you truly love.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session together we will start with a brief introduction, and then dive into the challenges you are facing. Together we will devise a plan that will help you meet your goals.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Having worked with people suffering from depression and anxiety, I have developed a skill set that enabled me to many of my clients in healing from trauma and emerging triumphant, ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism often go undiagnosed. Even though with a diagnosis who have had accommodations still struggle. It’s a whole new world when you leave her school and get out on your own. Let’s walk through those struggles together.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I have helped many client recover quickly from anxiety dis orders and panic attacks. I understand the struggles of adults with ADHD and Autism and Dyslexia, often being diagnosed in adulthood, spending their childhood with self esteem issues, wondering why things that seemed easy for other people were so difficult for them. Anyone who struggles with grief from the loss of a loved one to grief over a lost childhood or a divorce. It is often our fragile egos that prevent us from stepping out of our comfort zones to meet the rewards of a new career or a new relationship. Self esteem often hold people back from leaving a job beneath their abilities or a partner that is narcissistic and abusive.
