Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) practicing in Texas for the last 5 years. I specialize in helping teens, young adults, and professionals navigate various life transitions such as school, career, and divorce. My main objective is to assist clients in handling the challenges that can arise during these periods in their lives. While some transitions are expected, they are not always free of struggle and can lead to feelings of doubt, anxiety, or a sense of being lost.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is dedicated primarily to building the therapeutic relationship, establishing trust, and getting more detailed information about the clients concerns, and history. We will work on building goals for therapy that will guide our future work together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have primarily worked with people who are going through life transitions. I offer a non-judgmental space where clients can feel safe to open up and explore their concerns and work towards achieving their personal life goals. I believe that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach, and I tailor my methods to each client, taking into consideration their lived experiences.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with clients that are in the process of navigating changes in their life whether it be worrying about college, career changes, or general problems that might arise in adulthood. Some of these changes can be difficult to navigate alone, or difficult to navigate within existing support systems. The clients I work with might not always be able to turn to their support systems for help with these problems and having external support can help them work through the issues they may be facing. They might feel overwhelmed by the changes or feel stuck in their current position in life.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I am committed to guiding and supporting clients as they leverage their unique strengths to effectively navigate the challenging situations they are currently facing in their lives.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I believe that it is important to acknowledge cultural differences and how they affect our daily lives and interpersonal relationships. I think it's important to incorporate these factors in helping clients generate the change they want to see in their lives.

Supportive

I provide clients with supportive validation, empathy, and emotional support as we navigate different challenges in their lives. This helps promote a positive relationship and validate clients' feelings and emotions, as well as their wants and needs.
