(she/her)
I provide holistic, humanistic, and client-centered tele-mental health counseling/therapy for individuals, couples and families. I combine my both my training as a therapist, my neuroscience-based background and my own experience to help clients heal. As a BIPOC/latina therapist a large focus of my work is in de-stigmatizing and decolonizing mental health and providing a space for clients to feel heard, validated and to be able to process values, traditions and patterns of behaviors.
In our first session we will undergo an intake session in which we will work together to identify presenting issues/problems/symptoms as well as obtain both medical and psychiatric background information. Understanding your developmental history as well as social supports. Please note: A full intake can take up to 1-2 sessions to complete.
My background and experience with working with different clients including children, parents, survivors of abuse/trauma, previously incarcerated individuals has allowed me to be able to be flexible and adaptive to the needs of my clients. I am able to collaboratively work with clients in a way that honors their current needs and goals for therapy to help them be able to take the small steps needed to be at the place they want to be in their lives.
My specializations are in young adults male and female, first gens, BIPOC individuals, women's health, stress/anxiety, major depressive disorder (or related symptoms), grief and trauma. My trauma work focuses on healing childhood wounds, mother. father wounds, addressing unmet needs as a child, sexual, physical, emotional and psychological trauma.

Family Therapy
As a licensed marriage and family therapist. My graduate training was focused and specialized in family and systemic theories and models. I incorporate these modalities in all my approaches with individuals, couples and families as all individuals are posrt of larger systems that impact their lives.
Trauma Informed Care
My graduate training and post-grad training had a primary emphasis in working in trauma informed-care. This includes my experience with woring with clients with histories of family, domestics, relational and sexual trauma in both family settings as well as individual settings.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
My graduate training had a primary focus on solution therapies. SFBT is future-focused, goal-directed, and focuses on solutions, rather than on the problems that brought clients to seek therapy. I incorporate this treatment method when identifying and working through issues or problems that are presented by clients.
