Empowerment and compassion guide my approach, whether I’m supporting someone through acute crisis or helping them build long-term emotional resilience.
I completed my Master’s degree in Counseling at the Houston Graduate School of Theology, along with a Master of Divinity. It has equipped me with the skills to offer steadiness, encouragement, and thoughtful guidance during difficult times while respecting each person’s unique identity, worldview, and lived experience.
My therapeutic style is integrative, meaning I draw from several evidence-based approaches to best meet your individual needs. These include person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and strengths-based therapy. In practice, this means sessions with me often feel warm, collaborative, and grounded. I honor your story, build on your strengths, and work with you to develop practical tools and new ways of thinking that support your healing and growth.

I do this work to express my passion for supporting others as they untangle complex expectations and cultivate a value-fueled, authentic life. I understand first hand the struggle to 'be successful' while also exploring the answers to 'who am I?' As the son of Chinese immigrants from Mexico, raised in Mississippi, I personally understand the challenge of living between cultures and the "liminal spaces" where identity can feel uncertain.

As a woman of color and Army combat veteran, I understand how difficult it can be to ask for help. I know from personal experience that seeking support can feel vulnerable, and at the same time, it can be one of the most supportive and life-giving steps a person can take.
As a clinician, I prioritize my own wellness and healing because I believe it helps me remain present, grounded, and effective in holding space for my clients. It is an honor to be invited into someone’s healing and growth journey, and I do not take that responsibility lightly.
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy watching football (go Chiefs), attending festivals, and engaging in arts, crafts, and DIY projects. I also enjoy trying new food spots and taking time to rest and recharge. I view my work as a calling rather than just a job, and I am deeply grateful to do what I love.

I’ve worked in many different professional settings including child welfare, managing group homes for individuals with disabilities, early intervention assessment and skills training, care management in a domestic violence survivor program, and as a mental health technician, social worker in an emergency department, therapist and Assistant Clinical Director in a psychiatric hospital.
