I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and I'm here to support you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery. As a therapist, I see my role as a collaborative facilitator of change. I believe that people are relational beings with physical, spiritual, emotional, and social components. The exploration and integration of these aspects can be life changing and enhancing. In addition, I seek to connect all facets of a person's world (the family they grew up in, their gender, faith, culture, education, age, etc.)

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I seek to join with clients in a respectful way that acknowledges their own wisdom through practical, supportive, and empathetic connection.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I recognize the unique challenges of each individual and systems that may exist, and seek to integrate emotions, thoughts, and actions to enable fuller, happier lives.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Each person has inherent worth and the capacity to grow toward personal fulfillment. There comes a time when help is needed from a certified professional to cope with many of life's challenges.

My treatment methods

Family Therapy

By using the Family Therapy approach- gaining new and different perspectives is of the center point of resolving issues. As a result, this helps individuals to learn to respond better to stress, pain and difficult situations.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT can be an effective way to learn how to better manage stressful life situations.

Couples Counseling

Gaining a deeper understanding of relationship dynamics. A major benefit of couples counseling is that you can begin to really understand your relationship dynamics. Get an impartial sounding board. Finding a good couples therapist means having someone you both trust. Create a safe space for you and your partner. Often when we’re dealing with conflict with our romantic partner, feeling safe is something both sides struggle with.

Gottman method

A couples-based therapy and education that helps partners build and maintain healthy relationships

Narrative

Narrative therapy is a form of psychotherapy that seeks to help patients identify their values and the skills associated with them. It provides the patient with knowledge of their ability to embody these values so they can effectively confront current and future problems.
