A little bit about how I approach therapy. In creating an alliance with a new client, I adopt a stance of listening and confronting situations non-judgmentally and with compassion, acknowledging that this work is about you, and your life's goals and struggles. My practice is built around partnership with my clients, working hard to establish and maintain this therapeutic alliance. Welcome! I'm glad you're here. Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you've spent a long time trying to manage things on your own. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, struggling with anxiety or depression, navigating life transitions, or trying to make sense of experiences that continue to affect you, you don't have to figure everything out on your own.
Sometimes, we know something isn't working, but we're not sure why we feel the way we do or how to move forward. You may find yourself overthinking, feeling stuck in familiar patterns, struggling to manage emotions, or having difficulty understanding your own needs. Therapy offers an opportunity to slow down, explore what's going on beneath the surface, and begin making sense of your experiences at your own pace.
I believe you can accept where you are today while still working toward something different. You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy, and you don't need to know exactly what to say. We can start wherever you are and work together to identify what matters most to you, what may be getting in the way, and what changes you would like to make.
My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you can show up as yourself, speak openly, and feel comfortable exploring difficult thoughts and emotions without pressure or judgment. Whether your goal is to better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, manage stress, or feel more confident navigating life's challenges, we'll work together to find an approach that feels meaningful and manageable for you.
