Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated from Duquesne University and then Marywood University. As a counselor/therapist I work with adults as they navigate the anxieties of life and relationships. I help people identify and assess the thinking/thoughts that bother them and interrupt their relationships with their family or at work. I have studied and used different therapeutic approaches to support persons at different stages of growth. I am not accepting couples at this time.
As a therapist, I strive to create a supportive, authentic, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to openly explore their thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood, and I value building strong therapeutic relationships based on trust, empathy, and collaboration.
My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and adaptable to each individual’s unique needs and goals. I understand that every person comes into therapy with different experiences, strengths, and challenges, so I aim to meet clients where they are while helping them build practical tools for growth and healing. I enjoy working with young adults and adults who may be navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, identity exploration, relationship difficulties, or feelings of being overwhelmed or stuck. My goal is not only to help clients manage current struggles but also to empower them to better understand themselves, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
Above all, I want clients to feel that therapy is a space where they can be themselves without fear of judgment while receiving support, encouragement, and guidance throughout their journey.

Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Florida, Oregon, Kansas (LSCSW), New Hampshire, and Texas. I received my Master's degree from Louisiana State University and have been practicing for 9 years. I help adults find ways to heal their anxiety and depression, help them become more self-aware, and to stop negative thinking, so they can become the best versions of themselves. I help adults ages 18+ struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, suicidal ideations, self-harm, grief/loss, and life transitions.

I help clients stay in the present moment (utilizing other techniques) as this can be very difficult to do in our busy lives today.
I became a social worker because I want to help people feel better about themselves and their lives. I no longer wanted to be "just an employee" and work for a large organization. I wanted to use my strengths and abilities to help others because it would be challenging and rewarding. Therapy is a form of "self-care", and we will work together as a team to address your specific challenges, goals, and needs. I am dedicated, passionate, and caring.
I also conduct emotional support animal evaluations in Florida, Texas, New Hampshire, Kansas, and Oregon. If you would like more information about me or getting an emotional support animal evaluation completed, please visit my website at instillinghopepsychotherapy.com.
I really like psychology. I like the art of effective communication. I like using psychology to understand myself and others behaviors. I believe faith along logical thinking to help people sustain realistic self-acceptance while giving intentional self-compassion.
I am drawn to psychology because it offers a way to make sense of human experience in a structured yet deeply personal way. I value effective communication as an art because it allows people to express themselves clearly, reduce misunderstandings, and build stronger emotional connections. I use psychological principles to better understand both my own behavior and the behavior of others, which helps create more awareness, empathy, and intentional responses in relationships and daily life.
I also believe that combining faith with logical thinking can support a more grounded approach to personal growth. This balance allows individuals to hold onto meaning and hope while still engaging in realistic, rational reflection. Through this integration, people can develop a sense of self-acceptance that is honest and sustainable, while also practicing intentional self-compassion that encourages growth without self-judgment.

I love providing counseling to individuals, couples, and families. I am also very passionate about men and mental health. I have observed that many men suffer in silence and feel emotionally trapped in a straitjacket. I love listening to my clients. From the first sesion, I focus on instilling hope. I want my clients to leave feeling encouraged and relieved. I do not pretend to fix my clients problem/issue(s). The research shows that when a person has a safe space to release ans someone to contain and care, a positive hormone gets release. I am here because I care. I seek to understand and empathize. I love helping those who are stressed, ancious, depressed, weary, worrying, hurting, confused, lost, sad, or hopeless. It is rewarding to me to help others release stress, improve their functioning, and overall well-being. I strongly believe in using a holistic approach. I educate my clients regarding coping strategies, coping techniques, and coping skills. Interested clients are offered educational material to review. It is my clinical perspective that the mind, body, and spirit are significant to well-being. I am very strong in my faith as a believer and follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. Each individual's narrative, perspective, and voice, matters. I love helping those struggling to adapt and adjust to life stressors, transitions, and difficulties. I hold a doctorate in Marriage & Family Counseling. Welcome. I’m a combat veteran and retired Army officer, Christian, husband, father, grandfather, and experienced clinical psychologist. I want to get into the root causes of your struggles or battle and find ways to overcome, change, forgive, accept, and move upward toward the light. It may not seem like it, but the darkness will eventually lift, and the light will surely shine again.
Life is a battle in the heart, and I humbly accept that I will be in my own battle or someone else’s battle for the rest of my life. Like the weather, our emotions are powerful. Many days the sun shines, but the rains do come and sometimes a destructive storm hits hard (divorce, the loss of a loved one, cancer, suicidal thoughts, et cetera). It's a battlefield. When it comes to the challenge of relationships, so often, it is ego (wounded pride), self-esteem, and powerful emotions at the root of our conflicts. To understand these forces is the key to peace. Let's work through it!
I have been honored to be in the field of psychology for 22 years since 2004. Through the years, more than half of my time was in the Army where I primarily worked with soldiers enduring anxiety, depression, trauma, Traumatic Brain Injury, and all the other usual suspects of psychological distress. It was a time well for the analysis of guilt, fear, worry, shame, pain, heartbreak, addiction, identity conflicts, and sorrow. I’ve also worked in the prisons for many years with some extreme situations (i.e., murder, severe mental illness, rape, child molestation, drug kingpins, gang leaders). So, no matter what your circumstances are, never quit and never give up! Survival is a noble plight!
Do you wake up worried about the day ahead before you even get out of bed? At work, are you scared of making mistakes, feeling like everyone’s waiting for you to mess up? When friends invite you out, do you say “yes” but feel nervous inside? At home, instead of relaxing, do you replay awkward moments, wondering what others think of you? If these anxious thoughts make you feel not good enough and exhaust you, you’re not alone. These feelings can undermine your confidence and affect your professional and personal relationships. I’m here to help you find relief and reclaim your sense of calm and control.

Hello, I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the states of Texas and Tennessee with 30 years of counseling and ministry experience. I began as a minister of the Gospel in the Southern Baptist tradition in 1993 working with the homeless to overcome the struggles of addiction and hopelessness in North Carolina and Tennessee. From there, I became a case manager in a rural oupatient behavioral health clinic helping the chronically mentally ill live independently outside of the institutional settings. As my family of five children grew, my wife encouraged me to join the military in 2007 and for the next 13 years we served alongside our Soldiers and their Families as a chaplain. There, I learned through experience how to work through the stress of multiple transitions, the unyeilding demands for time and energy, and the unjust nature of toxic environments. I learned how to support those who wanted to strengthen themselves and their relationships in these environments and to ultimately be at peace with who they are and who they want to be.
As I have matured in my training and become licensed in marriage and family therapy, I have found that I now specialize in using Solution Focused therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help individuals identify their strengths and the beliefs that are guiding their behavior. With this knowledge, people can begin to choose who they want to be.
