Hello, I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. I have been practicing for 10 years as a psychotherapist. I have over 20 years of experience in various nonprofit and social service agencies. My therapeutic approach has been to take a whole person approach with each individual that I have a pleasure to service. My name is Dr. Arnold Tilden and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. Early on, we will set goals for our counseling and regularly check our progress. We work as partners in reaching our goals. My approach, although eclectic, is influenced by Albert Ellis and his Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy or REBT. The central concept is that our thinking (Rational) influences our emotions (Emotive), which drives or behavior.
Therapy is a journey, whether you are familiar to the process or just beginning, I am so glad you are here. I'm a licensed counselor with a diverse background, I enjoyed working with those who were incarcerated make better choices for their future on the outside, working with those in active addiction trying to do something to make recovery possible, and working in a busy outpatient mental health clinic. With each experience, I learned how to work with various populations and enhance my skills. The most rewarding part of my job is seeing the "light blub" moment occur with a client or helping a client heal when they are struggling.

I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients can explore thoughts and feelings they may not feel comfortable sharing anywhere else. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each individual's needs. I believe meaningful change comes from a combination of self-awareness, personal growth, and practical support. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, build on their strengths, and move through life's challenges with greater confidence and authenticity.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy taking photos in nature, playing video games, and spending time with friends and family. These activities help me stay grounded, present, and connected to the things I value most.

Darlene Aviles Perez is a licensed family therapist in Pennsylvania who helps parents, teens, families, couples, and individuals that are having difficulties within the most treasured relationships. If a client is feeling the sting of invalidation, criticism, or confusion, Darlene can help. Darlene invites clients to explore dynamics within his or her life in attempts to highlight supports and gain clarity. Her goal is that through the therapy process, clients can co-discover more healthy relational dynamics so clients need to talk with a professional less and can lean on natural supports more!
I believe everyone is on their own unique path, and sometimes that path can feel stressful or overwhelming. My goal is to support your growth and empower you with the tools and confidence to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease.
Building a genuine connection with clients is at the heart of my work. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space where you feel heard and understood. Therapy with me is a collaborative process, and I tailor my approach to your needs by drawing from person-centered and strengths-based approaches as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques.
I have experience working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and self-esteem challenges. No matter where you are in your journey, I will meet you there—and walk alongside you as you move toward healing and growth.
LET’S EMBARK ON A PATH FORWARD - TOGETHER!
I work with adults who may look like they have things together on the outside but internally feel anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or simply exhausted from carrying everything on their own. You may be dealing with anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief or loss, major life changes, identity concerns, work stress, or just the feeling that something in your life needs to change.
My approach is warm, straightforward, and down-to-earth. Therapy with me is a real conversation—not a clinical interrogation or a place where you have to say the “right” thing. We’ll work together to understand what’s happening, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical ways to move forward.
I also incorporate evidence-based approaches, including CBT, while tailoring therapy to the person in front of me. You won’t get a one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling understood, but also with greater clarity about yourself and where you want to go next.
In addition to my therapy work, I also work as an ICU nurse, which has deeply influenced my perspective on stress, trauma, and the complexity of being human. That experience allows me to bring a grounded, compassionate, and realistic understanding of life’s pressures into the therapy room.
Outside of work, I value quiet, restorative time. I enjoy working out, staying active, and taking care of my own well-being. I love spending time at home with my husband and our pets, and I’m a big fan of unwinding with a good movie. I believe balance, connection, and moments of calm are essential — not just luxuries — and I often help clients explore how to build more of that into their own lives.
I believe you are the ultimate expert on your own life. As a person-centered, solution-focused therapist, my role isn't to give you the answers. Instead, I partner with you to identify your unique goals, uncover your hidden strengths, and build actionable solutions that create lasting, positive change I hi. Most clients that join a session find me warm, nurturing and accepting while teaching you new skills of coping with the challenges of life. Mindfulness is an integral part of the strategies of being present and working through life stressors, anxiety and worry of overthinking and intrusive thoughts.

I have an LPC and an LMFT and have been seeing clients since 1996. I have extensive training in helping people who are going through or have experienced narcissistic abuse and any form of childhood trauma, this includes verbal and emotional abuse, family addictions, or any early childhood experience that would cause one to feel unsafe. I am also experienced in the treatment of anxiety, worry and mood concerns and work with addictions, obsessive compulsive behaviors and any poor coping skills or core beliefs that were developed in order to manage these stressors. I use practices primarily focused on somatic and cognitive therapy but also utilize acceptance commitment therapy, internal family systems, mindfulness and am solution focused. I use homework and assignments aimed at regulating the nervous system in order to repair the fight/flight/freeze response that is often stuck on due to a continuous history of a variety of life stressors (trauma). This trapped and stored trauma continues to trigger the nervous system to respond in ways where we continue to feel unsafe, even after the threats have passed. By working with the nervous system to release this trapped trauma and find safety, we can then have the opportunity to respond to the world differently.
