Hi this is Carol. I am a licensed independent clinical social worker in eight states. It continued in upstate Pennsylvania where I attended Elmira College (M.S.Ed) and attended SUNY University of Buffalo (MSW). I capped those off with a Psy.D. from Cal Southern University, Magnum Cum Laude 2012. I hold an LCSW in PA, VA, NC, TX, IL and FL. I hold an LISW-CP in South Carolina, and LICSW in RI and MA. I facilitate stress reduction meditations several times weekly on an internet platform for Mindful Leaders. I am a certified AADC in South Carolina. I am a licensed professional counselor with over 12 years of clinical experience and a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. My work is grounded in existential therapy, with a particular focus on supporting LGBTQ+ individuals as they navigate identity, meaning, grief, and life transitions. I believe deeply in the capacity for LGBTQ+ people not just to survive, but to thrive, and my passion lies in walking alongside clients as they explore what a more authentic and fulfilling life can look like for them.
My approach is thoughtful, reflective, and relational. Rather than positioning myself as an expert with answers, I join clients as a fellow traveler. I approach each encounter as curious, present, and attuned, creating space for exploration, understanding, and self-compassion.
I'm Dr. Victoria Panna, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in NJ and PA, and the founder of Panna Counseling and Consulting Services. With over 16 years of experience, I provide a grounded, authentic space for high-achieving individuals to navigate life’s transitions. My approach blends clinical expertise with a straight-talking, supportive style, helping you move from feeling stuck to living with intentionality and confidence.
I can help find relief and lasting change. This begins with the very useful concept of two simultaneous paths when struggling in life...
1- How can clients ADDRESS, or take action to remedy or lessen, the sources of their struggles?
2- How clients COPE in effective healthy ways?
Addressing and coping are central in my work, and clients find this CBT approach to be highly valuable and effective.

It is my firm belief that each and every one of us has tremendous potential. We all have unique talents and skills, honed and sharpened through our life experiences. These experiences, while crucial to shaping us, can also leave us hurt, confused, numb, or insecure. That is where therapy can help.

“My style of therapy draws from Cognitive Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment therapy/mindfulness. My passion is for learning your story and working alongside you to find the solutions that work for you. I’m here to help you examine what you’ve already lived through and find the path forward. In my work with people with trauma I’ve learned that we often need the reminder – no matter what you have struggled with; you are a survivor and that needs to be brought to light. Keeping that in mind, I am guided by the client towards the goals that they feel are necessary for their treatment.”

Being a therapist has seemed like a natural progression for me. I have always been able to easily relate to others and meet them where they are. I have taken my own struggles and used them to help make myself stronger and be able to gain insight into how to help others who may be struggling. I think anyone can benefit through the self-exploration that comes with therapy. I find it rewarding to see the progress people are capable of and to help them see the progress themselves.

Hello, and welcome! My introduction to the counseling field began while working within therapeutic group homes that served children through adults experiencing mental health struggles. This experience, both enriching and meaningful, inspired my interest in pursuing counseling. I was deeply moved by the varying degrees of challenging life experiences that we are all tasked with navigating and the ways we attempt to cope, gain insight from, and hopefully transform our adverse circumstances. I received my Master of Social Work degree from Portland State University and since, I’ve had the opportunity to assist a diverse range of clients in both inpatient treatment and outpatient therapy settings, and more recently, at a college counseling clinic at the University of Montana. Within these programs, I’ve helped clients address anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, academic challenges, relationships, identity changes, sexuality, and general life stressors.
I am grateful that I can work to help individuals navigate the evolving nature of their lives by providing unconditional positive regard, encouragement, and supportive guidance.
