Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In life you may encounter many roadblocks that can wreak havoc on your mental well-being holding you stuck and unable to move on. In the first session, I explore childhood experiences that may hold the key to understanding the reason(s) for your current presentation and together we can navigate this journey while I help you to develop coping skills to address and resolve mental conflicts that threaten to keep you stuck.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My sense of humor, my conversational style and the ability to look beyond the obvious enabling me to engage each client in a way where they feel comfortable speaking about the uncomfortable.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My goal is to bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be, helping you achieve greater emotional health and balance. I am ready and equipped to help each client discover the path to a healthier mind and a brighter future. The time to start is now.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

Childhood experiences are explored which may hold the key to unlocking mental doors that may be holding individuals back from actualizing their true potential.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

This quickly helps clients to focus on solutions instead of focusing on the known (problem).

Christian Counseling

My aim is to address emotional suffering and dysfunction by providing compassionate support to those seeking help while imparting biblical concepts to those who are open to it while respecting others who may not share the same beliefs.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is often coupled with other methods to help clients change their way of thinking which ultimately leads to changing negative behaviors.

Jillian has been an incredible support during our couples therapy sessions. One of the things I appreciate most about her is how direct, honest and oriented she is. She creates a space where difficult conversations can happen openly, while still making both people feel heard and respected. Jillian helps guide discussions toward practical solutions, reflection and accountability.

Today was my first therapy session with Jillian. I felt extremely comfortable with her. She listens. Her personality is wonderful. She is really someone I look forward to continuing therapy with.

Jillian is flexible and incredibly intelligent. For any neurodivergent who finds themselves to be 2e (twice exceptional), she may be a great fit for you. She challenges you in a kindly pleasant way and models the types of behaviors she wants to impart on you. She also puts the notes in the Grow Therapy portal so that you can read the feedback/ideas she has for you, which helps me tremendously. I need time to process and then read that, so it's great overall.
