Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, I will collect some background info and information related to your current symptoms. You can ask me questions and we will just chat. At the end, I will ask if you are comfortable and would like to engage in routine sessions.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

I like to utilize evidence-based treatments (CBT, CPT). I also focus on empowering individuals to focus on self-care and utilizing coping skills routinely. We all need to "break up with stress" and I want your quality of life to be high!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have been a trauma therapist for 10 years. Primarily working with Combat Veterans, current Military members and victims of Military Sexual Trauma. I also have extensive experience working with individuals that suffer with anxiety and depression. My approach is somewhat untraditional and informal. I like to create a safe, nonjudgmental space for everyone. You can cuss (I might cuss too!), you can yell, you can stand, sit or lie down. You won't offend me or scare me. Let's do this together! You are never alone, please don’t forget.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Veterans, Military, Trauma victims, those suffering from anxiety and depression.

She’s so much more than just 2 categories. I feel comfortable and safe sharing with her. She is open and honest about my journey and what it can look like. She’s open to how I process things and using it as a strength when it comes to coping skills. She’s helping me dig deeper to discover my triggers and how I can handle them from day to day. Very understanding, 10/10. I was nervous about signing up from hearing other’s experiences with therapy but I’m glad I made the leap to unpack with her!

She is very easy to talk to and provides me with some much needed levity and grace at times. Lauren has also proven to be flexible and accommodates her client's needs. Thank you for all of the awesome work that you do. I appreciate you more than you know!
