About me

Hello! My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can process your experiences, deepen your understanding of yourself, and explore areas where healing is needed. I take a person-centered approach, meaning you lead the way in your journey while I follow—offering guidance, support, and tools as needed. I offer EMDR, IFS, CBT, and other modalities, tailoring our work to what feels most helpful and empowering for you. I also place a strong emphasis on connecting the mind and body, as many of us experience a disconnect between the two. For those who are interested, I incorporate elements of energy therapy—drawing on yogic principles, Usui Reiki, and other approaches—to support your healing process. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and experiences, and I offer specific support for those seeking culturally sensitive therapy, honoring your unique story and identity throughout our work together.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session, we’ll take time to explore what brings you to therapy and how I can best support you. You’ll have the space to share your experiences at your own pace, while I listen with care and empathy. Together, we’ll discuss what you need and begin to create a treatment plan that feels comfortable and supportive for you. Therapy is a collaborative journey, and my role is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can be open and vulnerable. It’s important to share what you’re ready to, but it’s also completely okay to set boundaries around what you’re not yet ready to explore. Your pace, comfort, and trust are always respected here.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My therapeutic approach is empathetic and supportive while also offering gentle, direct guidance to help you make progress in treatment. I offer a warm tone and supportive nature in our work together, and my goal is to empower you. Part of that involves helping connect the dots in your struggles and identifying challenges—which can feel difficult—but with support and accountability, you can make meaningful progress. I aim to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported, while providing guidance to help you engage in the inner work of healing at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with clients seeking support with trauma, anxiety, relational challenges, attachment issues, or those looking for culturally sensitive therapy. I especially welcome motivated clients who are ready to engage in the work of healing. I understand that taking the first step in therapy can feel daunting—there’s often a fear of “what if it doesn’t help?” It’s important to recognize that simply finding the right therapist and making that first appointment is already a powerful step toward growth. By taking this step, you’re showing courage and starting your journey toward healing—and that is progress in itself.

My treatment methods

EMDR

In my practice, I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help you gently process and heal from painful or overwhelming experiences that may still feel present today. Rather than focusing on retelling difficult memories, EMDR works with your mind and body’s natural ability to release what’s been held onto—helping you find a greater sense of calm, clarity, and ease. I approach this work with deep respect for each person’s story and cultural background, creating a space where healing feels safe, empowering, and uniquely your own.

Attachment-based

In my work, I use an attachment-based approach to gently explore how early relationships and life experiences shape the way you connect, trust, and feel safe with others today. Together, we’ll notice patterns that may have once helped you cope but now feel limiting, and create space for new ways of relating—with yourself and those around you. I honor each person’s unique story and cultural background, and I aim to offer a safe, compassionate space where healing happens through connection, understanding, and genuine care.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I often integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we’ll notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck and explore practical ways to shift them—so you can feel more balanced and empowered in your daily life. My approach to CBT is gentle and collaborative, honoring your unique experiences, values, and cultural background as we work toward meaningful and sustainable change.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

As an Indian American therapist, I understand how much our culture, family, and values shape who we are and how we experience the world. In our work together, I aim to create a space where your background and experiences are honored, and where therapy feels meaningful and authentic. By weaving cultural awareness into each session, I support you in navigating challenges, building resilience, and finding healing in a way that truly respects who you are.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

In Internal Family Systems therapy, I help you gently explore the different parts of yourself—these are the thoughts, emotions, and inner voices that show up in your life, each with their own feelings and intentions. Sometimes these parts can feel in conflict or get stuck, and together we bring curiosity, compassion, and understanding to help them feel seen and heard. This approach supports inner healing, balance, and self-compassion, helping you feel more at ease and whole within yourself.
