Hello, my name is Shaun. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a passion for mental health that has guided my entire adult life. Growing up in rural Nebraska, I developed a strong appreciation for the challenges and resilience found in small-town communities. A few years ago, I made the move to Pennsylvania and returned to school to become a psychologist.
My approach to counseling is rooted in my commitment to fostering a healthy lifestyle and work/life balance. Outside of my professional work, I serve as a fitness coach at a local gym, where I encourage others to prioritize their well-being. I firmly believe that physical and mental health are interconnected, and I strive to embody this principle in both my personal and professional life.
In my downtime, I enjoy playing video games with friends, which allows me to unwind and connect with others in a relaxed environment. My wife and I share a love for the arts, and we frequently attend musicals that inspire and entertain us.
As your counselor, I’m dedicated to creating a supportive and non-judgmental space where we can explore your unique experiences and challenges. Together, we can work towards achieving your goals and enhancing your overall well-being. I look forward to embarking on this journey with you.
Hi there! I'm a compassionate therapist dedicated to helping you move toward a healthier, more hopeful future. My own early life experiences have shaped my passion for supporting others, giving me a deep understanding of the challenges children, teens, and families face—especially around conflict, abuse, isolation, and rejection. I'm assuming you made it to my page because life has gotten particularly difficult and you're searching for some sort of direction or confirmation that "you are not crazy for feeling that way". We are not crazy for feeling - and therapy can help assist you in understanding why some emotions are more difficult to feel than others. I am experienced in working in both outpatient offices and inpatient hospital settings where I support clients in addressing issues stemming from generational trauma, relationships, grief and loss, life adjustments, substance use / other addictions, anxiety, and serious mental illness. I view therapy as a process that requires learning about vulnerability and accountability and then applying both for results.

I often use humor during therapy sessions to make the process feel more approachable. I have experience working inpatient and outpatient with client's experiences trauma, PTSD, severe and persistent mental health and substance abuse. I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy. My approach to therapy is simple, it is about you the client. In therapy we will work on and discuss what you want to work on and discuss. I believe in a client-centered approach that empowers the client to work toward the change that they hope for!
