Hi, I’m Deborah. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing virtual therapy in Pennsylvania. I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master’s in Counseling from Missio Seminary. My counseling approach integrates meaningful connection, evidence‑based practices, and faith based principles. I support those struggling with low self esteem, anxiety, depression, grief, health and medical concerns, and life transitions. I work to create a safe, nonjudgmental space that supports you in being your genuine, authentic self. I also value providing a respectful, culturally aware space where your experiences are heard and honored. My clinical experience and background allows me to meet you with grounded empathy and a deep respect for the realities you’re carrying.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll begin by getting to know each other and creating a space where you can feel comfortable sharing your story. From there, we’ll gently explore the challenges you’re facing, as well as the strengths you bring with you. I’ll also ask about what you’re hoping to gain from therapy, so we can shape our work around what matters most to you. Together, we’ll begin creating a path forward—one that supports your emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my core priorities is creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. My clinical approach integrates evidence‑based practices with faith‑based principles to support holistic wellness, healing, and growth. I work to understand the full context of what brings you to therapy and to equip you with practical coping skills and tools so you can meet your challenges with confidence and a sense of empowerment.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I support those struggling with low self esteem, anxiety, depression, grief, health and medical concerns, and life transitions. My therapy approach is most effective with individuals who show up authentically, are honest with themselves and others, and are ready to engage actively in the therapeutic process. Many clients are also interested in exploring how their faith can guide and support them through everyday challenges.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

I have over a decade of experience providing Christian counseling to women from diverse backgrounds and various life challenges. I earned my Master's in Clinical Counseling from Missio Seminary. I draw from the timeless truths of the bible and evidence based practices of clinical counseling.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a highly effective, evidence-based treatment approach that focuses on identifying and modifying unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. In sessions, I use CBT to help clients recognize and challenge negative beliefs, develop healthier cognitive patterns, and adopt constructive coping strategies.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I utilize Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), an effective evidence-based treatment approach that helps clients live a meaningful life, directed by values based actions in the midst of challenging life circumstances. Clients learn mindfulness and meditation skills to develop psychological flexibility and nervous system regulation.

Positive Psychology

I utilize positive psychology to help clients recognize their strengths, build resilience, and create lives grounded in research‑supported practices that promote well‑being and flourishing. This includes cultivating positive emotion, deepening engagement in meaningful activities, nurturing supportive relationships, clarifying meaning and purpose, and encouraging steady accomplishment through achievable goals.
