My name is Chiwoo. I enjoy working with individuals who struggle with overthinking, perfectionism, and people-pleasing. As a recovering people-pleaser myself, I understand the challenge of being your authentic self while trying to meet other people's expectations. In therapy, I combine evidence-based approaches with my own healing journey to help you feel less alone, build self-trust, and live with more confidence.
Hi, I’m a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience helping people navigate life’s hardest moments and create meaningful, lasting change. My work is shaped not only by my clinical background and research experience, but also by my life as a mom and Nana—which gives me a deep, real-world understanding of relationships, stress, and the complexity of everyday life.
I bring a warm, down-to-earth, and practical approach to therapy, blending evidence-based methods with genuine connection so you feel understood, supported, and empowered to move forward.
I specialize in helping clients who are struggling with chronic illness, grief and loss related to losing someone or major life changes, caregiver fatigue, end-of-life issues and related burnout. Having personally experienced all of these things, gives me a true understanding and unique perspective while working with clients.
Through past work with clients and my own personal journey with caregiving, deep grief, end-of-life issues, chronic illness and related burnout, I realized that my special talents lie in helping people who are seeking help with these things themselves. I love teaching and speaking for groups who want to learn more about all of these things.
I believe in a holistic approach to living and a balanced lifestyle and look forward to helping my clients achieve their dreams. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family, being out in nature, photography, reading, learning, walking, yoga, and spending time with my cat, Carl. I am currently missing my giant Lab, Dugan. Fly high, Buddy.

Hello! Sometimes making the decision to attend therapy is the most difficult decision. However, that doesn't mean that therapy will always be easy. When therapy is difficult, you often grow through those difficult experiences. Others would describe me as a "down to earth" type person and able to remain calm in stressful situations. I meet my clients where they are in life and help them stabilize their current situation before diving into other issues. No one is perfect, we all need help sometimes.
As the Founder of Coyote Hill (coyotehill.org) I have worked with foster children and families in crisis for over 33 years. After retiring as CEO in 2021, I have opened my own private practice.
In a world that often demands us to mask our struggles, having a space where your feelings are validated, and your experiences are understood can be transformative.
Your story matters, and I am here to listen, understand, and help you write the next chapter—one where you feel empowered and at peace. Together, we can explore the possibilities that lie ahead and take steps towards a more balanced and fulfilling life. We can't undo the past, but we can work together to get to a place where you can finish well.
Evening and weekend appointments available for working adults.
I help adults who are exhausted from anxiety that won't shut off, depression that drains all energy, sleepless nights, or chronic pain that's controlling their lives. Many of my clients have been struggling for months or even years, trying different approaches without finding real relief. They're ready for something that actually works.
I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) because the research is clear: it provides practical strategies that create measurable change, not just insight. I'm particularly trained in CBT for insomnia (CBT-I) and chronic pain (CBT-CP), which means if you're dealing with sleep problems or pain alongside anxiety or depression, I have specialized tools to help.
With over 20 years of experience treating veterans in VA primary care and hospital settings, I've worked with thousands of people facing anxiety, depression, insomnia, chronic pain, and trauma. What I've learned: effective therapy requires practical tools you can use immediately, a structured approach that respects your time, and a therapist who genuinely believes you can get better.
I opened my private practice specifically to offer evening and weekend appointments because I know working adults can't always take time off during the day. You shouldn't have to choose between your job and getting help for what's keeping you up at night or draining your energy during the day.
My approach: We identify what's keeping you stuck, build a practical plan with strategies you can use right away, and track progress weekly. The focus is on tangible results: reduced anxiety, improved mood, better sleep, less pain interference in your daily life.
Best fit: Adults ready to actively participate in structured, evidence-based treatment and practice skills between sessions.

I am a Linehan Board-Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist (DBT), a credential that reflects my deep commitment to providing the highest standard of evidence-based care.
My academic foundation began at St. Louis University (MO), where I earned both my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and my Master of Social Work. This rigorous training, combined with decades of practice, allows me to offer a space that is as clinically sound as it is compassionate and nonjudgmental.

A Holistic Perspective

This personal commitment to the mind-body connection informs my therapeutic perspective—I understand the discipline and rhythm required to foster lasting change.
The "Co-Therapist"
Healing often comes in small, furry packages. I have a 6-year-old toy Yorkie who frequently joins me. While he isn’t a registered service dog, he is an expert in providing comfort and a calming presence. He is available to join our sessions upon request (and rest assured, he is excellent at maintaining client confidentiality).

My native language is English and I am proficient in Farsi. I warmly welcome Farsi-speaking clients to my practice.
Hey, I’m Amber. I’m so glad you’re here! I know sometimes it can be pretty scary searching for a therapist who helps you feel known and understood. That is who I strive to be. Let me share a little about myself. I’ve been working in the mental health field for over 11 years. I worked in community mental health for 10 1/2 of those years before deciding to branch into my own private practice.
I believe therapy works best when you feel truly seen, safe, and understood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens through connection.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, and the emotional weight of caregiving, relationships, and work stress. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward — and together we create space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and build tools that actually fit your life.
Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you reconnect with your strengths, deepen self-compassion, and move toward a life that feels more balanced and authentic. I strive to create a space that is nonjudgmental, affirming, and supportive of your unique story
You may be someone others rely on—at work, in your relationships, or within your family—but internally you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained. You might find yourself overthinking conversations, struggling to set boundaries, or feeling responsible for everyone else’s needs while your own take a back seat.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients are high-functioning individuals who feel stuck in patterns like overthinking, people-pleasing, or difficulty communicating their needs. I also have a strong interest in working with veterans and understand the unique stressors that can come with both military and post-service life.

Hello! I am John Getchell, an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience. My career has taken me from federal prisons, to military hospitals, the VA, and private practice, where I have worked with trauma, depression, grief, OCD, and very complex family dynamics. My goal is to walk alongside you as we face life's challenges, helping you to find clarity, strength, and healthier ways of living. Together, we will work on creating real change so you can experience peace and freedom.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I’ve had the opportunity to work with people from many different walks of life. I often work with clients facing challenges like addiction, PTSD, anxiety, life transitions, and so on. I truly believe that change is possible for anyone who wants it. Growth starts with that first step. My role is to help you take it with clarity, compassion, and confidence.
Since 2019 I’ve worked with a wide range of clients, from intensive residential treatment centers to private practice. I help people get unstuck and move forward, whether it’s personal struggles, family challenges, or life transitions. My therapy is direct, practical, and focused on real change.
Before becoming a therapist, I studied Finance and Economics and worked as a Healthcare Software Consultant. After years of working in Residential Treatment Centers and seeing mental health struggles up close in my family and community, I shifted my career to do work that felt meaningful and practical. That background shapes how I think about problem-solving, structure, and progress.
Anxiety & Sleeplessness
Fear, insomnia, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we work towards increasing sleep time, decreasing panic or anxiety attacks or symptoms, fully understanding where overwhelming emotions stem from, and how to move towards being your best self.
Relationships
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both partners and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
Trauma and Healing
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger after post-traumatic events. We work together through these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
For over 15 years, I’ve had the honor of walking alongside people through some of the most challenging and meaningful moments of their lives. As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri, my role is not to “fix” anyone — it’s to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences, reconnect with your inner strength, and create the changes that matter most to you. I believe that healing doesn’t always come from having the right answers — sometimes, it begins with the right questions, honest reflection, and the courage to show up just as you are.
I work with people who are exhausted from holding everything together—those who look fine on the outside but feel tangled, anxious, or disconnected inside. My style is collaborative, compassionate, and straightforward, with the occasional laugh to keep things real. I’m not a “just nod and listen” kind of therapist. We’ll roll up our sleeves, look at the patterns that keep you stuck, and build healthier ways of coping and connecting.
I like to think of therapy as untangling a ball of yarn: we’ll find the knots, loosen them, and help you weave something new that actually fits your life.
If you’re ready to stop running on autopilot and start feeling more grounded, hopeful, and in control, I’d love to work with you. Bring your story—we’ll make sense of it together.
