First time in therapy? Or ready to make a real change? It can feel uncomfortable opening up to someone new—but you don’t have to have it all figured out to start. I work with teens, young adults, and millennials—especially men and people of color—who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, and past experiences that may still be impacting them. I focus on creating a space that feels real, supportive, and easy to step into, while helping you better understand yourself, your needs, and build the clarity and confidence to move forward.
I bring curiosity, empathy, and a genuine interest in understanding each person’s story to every session. I was born in Connecticut, spent a decade living and working in New Orleans, and now reside in Massachusetts. These experiences give me a unique perspective on different communities, cultures, and ways of life, which I bring to my work with clients. I am licensed in these three states and am certified in Trauma-Focused CBT, Grief and Trauma Intervention, and basic trained in EMDR, as well as crisis intervention training. My experience spans clinical social work, school social work, teaching, clinical management, and program development, giving me a broad perspective on supporting clients of all ages and family systems. I take a flexible, creative approach, empowering clients to build skills, gain insight, and make meaningful changes at a pace that works for them.
I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine, collaborative conversation. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where you feel respected, validated, and heard.
I approach therapy with a down-to-earth style. I strive to meet each person with empathy and curiosity. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way, build on your current strengths, and work toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.

I’m really glad you’re considering therapy—it’s a powerful step toward understanding yourself and making positive changes. It’s completely normal to have questions or feel uncertain in the beginning. The most important part is that you’re open to exploring your thoughts and feelings in a safe, nonjudgmental space. I'm here to support you in whatever way is most helpful, whether that’s answering questions, helping you get started, or just listening. You don’t have to figure it all out at once—just taking this first step is already meaningful.
My professional training and certifications include holistic counseling, trauma, and anxiety healing.
These times are urgent. Let us slow down.” ― Bayo Akomolafe
Let's take things one breath at a time, slowing down instead of rushing through the hard parts. I don’t believe in fixing or solving everything all at once in the hopes it does not reoccur. Instead, I offer space for curiosity, vulnerability, and connection, because that’s often where healing begins. Together we’ll practice being with your experiences, not just getting past them.
I work with people facing all kinds of mental health and personal life challenges, and I especially love helping clients untangle old patterns and build new ones that feel more like them. My approach is relational and HUMOROUS, humanistic, honest, warm, and collaborative. I work mostly with teens and adults. Outside of therapy, I’m usually testing a new hairstyle, thrifting, listening to Afrobeats, or walking my dachshund, Winston-Bishop.
Do you feel stuck and need a place to express yourself? Therapy with me is a safe space to do just that. Together we will also identify goals to help you feel less stressed and able to better thrive in your life. Let's work together to make the changes that are most useful for you. I most enjoy helping adults manage stress and anxiety often related to work, relationships, life transitions, and past experiences. If you feel as though you could use support in any of these areas, let's talk more.

Hi, I’m Jamilex (she/her), a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional based in Massachusetts. I offer online therapy for adolescents and adults navigating trauma, identity, and life transitions—especially those from BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities who are carrying complex stories that haven’t always felt safe to tell. My path to becoming a therapist began long before I earned my degree. Before I became a therapist, I was a young person surviving systems, silences, and scars; searching for safety, words, and meaning. My journey through abuse, family estrangement, foster care, and the military shaped not only my life, but my purpose. I know what it’s like to carry pain that feels too heavy, or too complicated, to name. That journey shaped my belief that even in silence, our stories matter. Even in pain, growth is possible.
My name is Betsy and I am a licensed mental health clinician with over 10 years of experience working with adolescents and adults. Through my training and experience, I have developed a philosophy that simply listening, validating and being non-judgmental is “help.” However, to guide a patient’s growth in mental health treatment, it is important to challenge them in a non-threatening manner but to promote thought is necessary. Additionally, It is sometimes important to be the mirror that clients do not want to look in. Lastly, treatment should be collaborative and educate which means providing psycho-education information, written treatment work, and provide well rounded mental health guidance and support to help patient identify and achieve treatment goals.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience supporting youth, adults, and families. My work centers on creating safe, affirming spaces where clients can explore challenges and reconnect with their strengths.
My approach is collaborative and tailored to you. I draw from evidence-based practices while integrating creativity and self-expression, making therapy flexible and responsive to your needs. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, parenting, identity concerns, or life transitions, I aim to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.
Hi there! Many of us struggle in silence to overcome the challenges we face, but you no longer have to face that battle alone. From someone who has had their own personal struggles with mental health, I want you to know that you are not alone. I strive to create a space for you to feel seen, heard, and safe. As someone who has been to therapy, I understand how difficult it can be to take that next step. Finding the right therapist can be hard. Finding someone to support you, challenge you, and hold space for the things most people in our life have no idea we are facing. I would be honored to be that space for you. I hope we can work together to help you reach your goals. While the first step is acknowledging the change you need, it takes courage to recognize you need some guidance. It takes even more courage to initiate those first steps towards improving your life.
I believe people are the experts on their own lives, and therapy works best when it builds on that. My approach is person-centered and strength-based, with a focus on short-term, solution-focused treatment. Rather than open-ended exploration, I like to identify clear goals early and work efficiently toward real, practical progress. I see therapy as a true collaboration. We set goals together and figure out what's going to move the needle fastest. I'm a licensed mental health counselor with 7+ years of experience helping people get unstuck and move forward.
Developing an open and honest connection is the foundation of a therapeutic relationship. I utilize active listening, cognitive behavioral therapy, and strength-based methods to support working through life challenges. Life isn't without challenges, but you don't have to go at it alone. I believe that developing an open and honest connection is the foundation of a therapeutic relationship. My approach is warm and friendly with a sense of humor while promoting a safe and supportive environment to assist you in fostering growth and healing. I utilize active listening, cognitive behavioral therapy, and strength-based methods to support working through life challenges. Taking a leap of faith and reaching out for support can be overwhelming and scary. Let me help you take that first step towards a healthier more manageable lifestyle.
