Hi! I'm a Alyssa, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts. I'm so glad you're here and considering working together. My approach is eclectic, combining pieces from different therapeutic modalities to find the right mix that works for you. I tend to utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I provide a warm and direct approach, incorporating humor where I can. My clients often describe me as someone who is easy to talk to. I appreciate feedback from clients throughout the course of the therapeutic relationship to ensure your needs are being met.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will talk about you and your goals, even if you don't have them fully figured out yet. We will start building a nonjudgmental space where you can show up as your authentic self and feel safe and respected.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my adaptability. I can be flexible to your needs, while also making sure we are doing the work we set out to do. And I will always show up ready to listen to you and learn from you.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with clients who have a goal in mind and want the tools and support to get there. You could be navigating life changes, addressing feelings or behaviors that don't serve you, or trying to gain a sense of acceptance in some area of life. I am especially interested in working with individuals navigating chronic illness who are looking to improve their mental wellbeing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients make the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Once the connections have been made, we can work on gaining an understanding of why behaviors may be happening, changing automatic thoughts, and building coping skills and recognizing when to use them.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing is a great way to explore and work towards change. I incorporate this with other modalities to uncover beliefs and barriers related to making changes.
