Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with more than 15 years of experience working as an LCPC in private practice and as a staff psychotherapist in college counseling. I practice an integrative approach within a relational and cultural framework, incorporating strength-based, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioral theories. I enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds with a cultural humility approach. I have experience in supervision/training, consultation, outreach, individual, group psychotherapy, and couples counseling. My areas of interest include life transition, family of origin issues, anxiety, grief, loss, racial stressors, relationship issues, intersectionality, and multicultural perspectives. I am a therapist who works with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, stress, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I provide a supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard, understood, and respected. Together, we focus on building insight, strengthening emotional resilience, and developing healthier coping and communication skills. My goal is to help clients improve relationships, increase self-awareness, and move toward meaningful, sustainable change that supports overall emotional well-being and personal growth.
Feeling like you’re carrying the weight of it all? As women and mothers, we often juggle endless to-do lists, emotional labor, and the invisible “mental load” that keeps everything running yet leaves little room for ourselves. You might be feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or guilty for not doing “enough,” even when you’re giving your all. I work with women who are ready to release the constant pressure to manage it all and reconnect with themselves again. Together, we’ll explore what balance, peace, and fulfillment actually look like for you. My goal is to help you feel grounded, capable, and more like yourself again.
My therapeutic style is integrative, blending elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques. I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs, whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma or life transitions. We’ll work to better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a safe space.
When we’re able to see things from a different perspective, it helps us find a better solution to the problem. I’m not someone who is going to tell you what to do, but someone who will help you problem solve and find what works best for you. I want to work with you and help you become a better and happier you!
I am Kris Munson and I have a lot of experience as a psychotherapist. I have worked in inpatient and outpatient scenarios as well as community mental health, group homes and private practice. I have been seeing client virtually for many years, but have been exclusively virtual since the start of Covid.
Overall I work with a wide variety of issues, such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, women's issues, anger management, low self-esteem and most other common issues of the current times. I also seek out working with individuals who have chronic health issues, as they have their own elements that need to be considered. I have a laid back, calming style, and provide thoughtful feedback . I enjoy getting to know my clients so I can make personalized suggestions and play to people's strengths.
On a personal note I live in the Chicago far west suburbs and have four grown children whom were adopted from Guatemala. We have a number of pets and enjoy road trips when we can make them happen.
My name is Miranda, and I’m a warm, down-to-earth therapist who works with adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can take a breath, be yourself, and feel genuinely heard—not another place where you have to have everything figured out. I take a strengths-based, person-centered approach and create a supportive, collaborative space where we can work together toward meaningful change. I believe therapy can be both productive and approachable, with room for a little lightheartedness along the way.
I believe self-care looks different for everyone, and I try to make space for the things that bring me joy, connection, and balance. I bring that same perspective into my work with clients. Finding small, meaningful ways to care for yourself can make a big difference, especially during stressful or transitional seasons of life. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected while developing practical tools that fit your everyday life.
With 17 years of experience in diverse therapeutic settings, I bring both depth and perspective to my work as a psychotherapist. My training is rooted in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with additional expertise in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege of helping individuals navigate depression, anxiety, stress, and the complexities of relationships. I have a particular interest in supporting women’s mental health, drawing on my clinical knowledge and life experience to create a therapeutic space that is both compassionate and effective. I offer a mature, steady presence—one that balances warmth with skill—to guide clients toward growth, resilience, and meaningful change.

Hi! My name is Bianca, I am an Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has spent over a decade in the lives of people who needed someone in their corner. From community centers to classrooms to living rooms, I've worked alongside children, families, teenage girls finding their voice, kids who had every reason not to trust another adult, and everyday people just trying to make it through. That range shaped me. I work with children, teens, young adults, and families carrying trauma, transitions, and the weight of just trying to hold it together — and I'm committed to making sure cost is never the reason someone doesn't get support. People heal when they feel safe and truly seen. That's the work.
I love life even when it is difficult, uncertain, and unpredictable. I experience it as a precious gift and live in constant awe of the quiet miracle of existence. I believe in hope, believe in kindness and compassion, and hold an essentially optimistic view of the human spirit. As a practicing professional, I am continually moved by the beauty and depth of psychotherapy. The psyche remains a mystery that can never be fully captured, and yet it endlessly inspires me. For me, psychotherapy is not only a profession—it is a philosophy, a spiritual path, and a way of living with attention, humility, and devotion to inner truth.
Whether you've never tried therapy before or are considering getting back into it, give yourself a pat on the back for taking this first step! I know how hard it can be to prioritize your own mental health, especially when life gets hectic. As a licensed clinical psychologist, I believe in meeting my clients where they're at and providing them a space each week where they can feel heard, understood, and cared for. I believe therapy shouldn't feel like another chore on your to-do list. It should feel like the "me time" you need (and deserve!) to set down the weight of everything you've been carrying so that you can start feeling like yourself again. Whether you're in the middle of a difficult time or grappling with a past that is holding you back, I will be there with you every step of the way to help get you "unstuck" and back to the life you want to be living.
It's important for therapists to be, first and foremost, real human beings in relation to clients. I know how to be a therapist. You know how to be you. I try to bring understanding and, when appropriate, humor into my work with people. Therapy is where you can try on different parts of yourself in a non-judgemental environment. What happens in session can reflect what you experience in your everday life. This provides you with perspective to live a more fufilling life. I work remotely, but find that this is not a barrier to real connection.
I am an African American woman and Buddhist practitioner. Hi, I'm Danielle McNear, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois. I received my Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University in 2019. I have worked in the social work field for over a decade and have experience serving clients in private practice, medical social work, crisis intervention, and family service settings. Throughout my career, I have been committed to helping individuals navigate life's challenges, building on their strengths, and improve their overall well-being.
I work with clients who are struggling with grief, anxiety, depression or trauma. I also work with clients who may need assistance in processing everyday life stressors and want a supportive therapist whom they can confide in who will also challenge them and assist with problem-solving.
I also work with those facing reproductive challenges. As a compassionate and empathetic therapist, I understand the complex emotional and psychological impact that infertility and miscarriage can have. I can:
• Support you in maintaining hope, peace and positivity while navigating uncertainty and help you build resiliency as you work through obstacles.
• Help you to recognize and access your deeper intuition, so you are better equipped to honor your body, spirit and mind with the highest intention throughout your journey.
• Work with you on increasing clarity and purpose around your fertility journey.
• Utilize a holistic approach to address integrative lifestyle strategies that may be beneficial to your fertility path.
• Assist you in addressing relationship difficulties that can arise out of the stress of fertility challenges, help you develop strategies to increase intimacy with your partner and foster healthy communication.
For women and men who have experienced reproductive loss:
• The devastating and seemingly invisible pain of losing a pregnancy is unique in that it involves not only the loss of your baby, but also involves the loss of the future - and there is no accepted way to mark that loss. Sometimes it seems that friends and family members expect the person to move on quickly. Partners often grieve differently - and for men, the trauma of miscarriage is often overlooked. Also, some women may suffer guilt or shame associated with the loss that doesn't tend to occur with other types of grieving.
• There is no universal template for grief. Together, we will address your unique needs as you work through your grieving process.

I tend to thrive in crisis. Ideal with the toughest cases of trauma, shootings, cults abductions, and domestic violence. I have been able to help so many veterans as well over the past 12+ years in my positions with US Service Animals, Simple, Practice, Grow Therapy and other telehealth platforms. I was an early adopter of telehealth and I have seen it. Make such a difference for so many people because of the comfort that is brought by being able to open up in an environment you know is safe, your own home/space. I take a solutions focused and a client centered approach. I am also insight oriented. I have a lot of insight when it comes to dealing with physical pain and disabilities as I have a visual disability since very young and suffered a TBI at age 24. I like to focus on what issues you are having and come up with coping mechanisms that will work for you. Dealing with the struggles I have had throughout my life has helped me work with people and develop creative and effective coping mechanisms for their specific issues. I have now lived and worked in several states with varying cultures and have benefited from all of these experiences. I have spent a lot of time in a hospital and work well with nurses and medical professionals as well. Please reach out if you think I can help and I will meet you where you are and see where we can go from here.
