Dr. Gerald McCallum, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 30 years of experience. He completed his training through APA-accredited programs at the University of Illinois, the University of Memphis, the University of Arkansas–Arkansas Children's Hospital, and the University of Tennessee–Health Science Center. He is affiliated with the American Psychological Association, the Illinois Psychological Association, and the National Register of Health Service Psychologists. He is licensed in Illinois. Dr. McCallum specializes in working with adolescents, adults, and families, focusing on emotional and adjustment concerns, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
Clients can expect a counseling conversation that allows them to describe their concerns during the first session. A therapeutic plan will be developed collaboratively and will focus on the client's strengths. Further sessions are scheduled consistently based on the client’s preferences and goals. During the first session, any concerns the client may have will be addressed, the counseling process will be explained, and any questions will be answered.
Dr. McCallum is passionate about helping others establish more successful patterns of functioning so the clients can achieve more constructive outcomes in various aspects of their lives.
