Hello! I am Lisa Lindsey-Robinson, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from the state of Illinois. I specialize in helping people of all ages deal with thoughts, challenges, and emotions that affect their daily lives. I provide a safe space to unravel complex issues and will work with you to rebuild and strengthen those factors that hinder growth and progress. My goal is to address your needs and guide you towards a fulfilling and balanced life.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through as we move forward in your healing process.
Having worked with adults of all ages for the past 14 years, I've been able to develop rapport and trust to help clients identify the root cause of issues that pose challenges in their lives. I have also been very successful in working with clients to develop plans that lead to measurable progress.
I enjoy working with adults of all ages who are looking to improve their lives and eliminate negative energy that sometimes stand in the way of progress. I particular enjoy building postive client-therapist relationships where the client feels comfortable opening up, exploring new ideas and applying changes that will ultimatley enhance their life and mental well-being.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help free the client from unhealthy patterns of behavior that may stem from how the client think about their life and how the client relate to life changes. Together we will develop practical strategies to transform patterns of behavior and work towards positive changes.
I use Mindfulness Based Therapy to help the client manage moment by moment thoughts, and feelings as they occur. This approach is useful in preventing recurring stress, depression and anxiety. This type of therapy helps manage stressful emotions by gaining an understanding of yourself as you develop positive tools to manage your well-being.
I use Psychodynamic therapy to dive deep into unconscious childhood memories and experiences that affect current thinking, behavior and relationships. This therapy is effective in helping to change current patterns of behavior and to free oneself from negative thoughts and behaviors.
Support therapy is an excellent model to build client-therapy trust relationships. This model assures the client that their concerns are heard and valid. It also provides support in picking up pieces to put ones life back on track.
I use Solution Focus therapy to help clients focus on their strengths as they make positive changes in their lives. This therapeutic model assists with achieving goals by exploring practical solutions while engaging in a supportive therapeutic relationship.
