My name is Meagan Baxter and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in with 6+ years of experience. I received my MSW from the University of Southern California. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. I am certified in trauma therapy. I have an extensive background as a medical social worker, psychiatric social worker, and case manager for local social service agencies, where I learned to be a strong advocate for my clients. I have previously worked in inpatient psychiatric facilities, inpatient substance abuse facilities, school districts, and home health.
I believe that each client is unique and that one therapy does not fit all. I try to meet the client where they are at. I have experience in different types of trauma from a clinical standpoint and personal experience. I have a sense of humor, I believe laughter can be the best medicine sometimes. The most important part of any therapy is client/therapist compatibility. It helps both with treatment goals.
