I became a therapist because therapy changed my life. Experiencing mental illness caused struggle and emotional suffering, but lead me to seek help. The support I found brought solace and healing, and eventually opened doors that led to becoming a therapist. It is such a meaningful experience to reach those who are now where I once was. Over the years I had opportunities to work in many settings, including medical and mental health hospitals, intensive outpatient, and residential addiction treatment centers, and now private practice.

I believe in honoring each individual as the expert of their own life, meeting them without judgment or preconceptions. Counseling, for me, is not about labeling problems but about discovering solutions and effective coping strategies. I work with individuals of all ages, including children, teenagers, adults, couples, and families, who are facing a wide range of challenges, with a particular passion for geriatric mental health.
Embarking on therapy is a courageous and potentially life-changing decision, and I am dedicated to supporting you every step of the way. Hi! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am independently licensed in NC, SC, and GA. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults striving to better cope with and better manage daily challenges.
I have experience in outpatient therapy and hospice social work.
I enjoy working with and learning about others. My personal goal is to learn something new every day.
You DESERVE to Re-SET, To Re-FUEL, To Re-CHARGE. And then TAKE FLIGHT! Since entering the field of therapy I have learned to ascribe to the adage “all behavior has meaning.” Yes, ALL behavior. A deep curiosity for why we all act and think the way we do coupled with my own life’s challenges and experiences has led me to a place of compassion for not only my own life choices but compassion for others. Our thoughts lead to feelings, which leads to action. We are not always proud of our actions. As a woman, mother, wife, and veteran I know all too well the shame that comes with our personal choices and behaviors. I also know there is also a fear of JUDGEMENT when it comes to considering therapy. This is a no-judgement zone and if you are seeking a different feeling and action in your life then you have landed at the right place!
Do you find it difficult to find the motivation and energy in completing daily tasks? Are you struggling with constant worries and anxieties about life? You are not alone! As pressures with life in the home, career and social settings continue to build, it is important to make sure that you are taking care of yourself! I am a licensed therapist that focuses on ways to process and improve your daily challenges with symptoms from depression, anxiety, stress, hopelessness, bipolar and schizophrenic disorders. I am here to walk the journey with you as you discover ways to build the best versions of yourself.
My journey as a clinician began 20 years ago working with children and families in foster care systems. From there, I have worked in outpatient and inpatient psychiatric settings with multiple mental health diagnoses and provided care to thousands. My focus and specialty are adults with mood disorders, post traumatic stress disorder (Cognitive Processing Therapy) and psychotic disorders assisting in reducing symptoms and improve daily functions.
