A little bit about me: I curtail my treatment approach to the client's needs. We do not all fit a mold. I am goal-oriented and want you to feel you have all the tools you need to effectively handle the curveballs life throws us. I completed my doctorate degree in Clinical psychology and have been licensed for over 10 years. My training is across the lifespan. I completed extended post-doctoral training in neuropsychology and forensics in a myriad of settings both inpatient and outpatient.

Dr. Lopez is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Florida. He specializes in mindfulness-based therapy and neuropsych evaluations. He works with you on constructing an environment that allows growth and employs judgment-free techniques to help you change the relationship you have with uncomfortable emotions and/or moments in life. I’ve been passionate about psychology since I was eighteen, when I began studying it in Cuba. My mother once told me she had always dreamed of being a psychologist but had to follow another path—and that dream inspired my own. After completing my degree in Cuba, where I worked in inpatient and school settings, I continued my journey in the United States and earned my master’s degree in psychology. Over the years, I’ve worked with children, families, and adults through moments of crisis, grief, and major life transitions. My experience with multidisciplinary teams has taught me to see each person as a whole—emotionally, physically, spiritually, and socially. Healing happens when we look at the full picture of someone’s life, not just their symptoms.
