I’m Dr. Gabe Veas, a psychotherapist who helps high-achieving adults, and creatives move past shame, fear, and pressure to keep it all together. Many appear successful on paper yet feel disconnected, anxious, or unfulfilled inside. My work focuses on rebuilding intimacy, confidence, and freedom that lasts. My learning didn’t end with degrees; it continues through mentorship, embodiment, and years of helping people reclaim the parts of themselves that feel hidden or shut down. I founded Palm Springs Psychotherapy to offer a private, deeply personalized space for clients who want more than symptom relief. My approach blends cognitive, relational, and somatic methods to help you reconnect with what feels real and alive, both in your mind and in your body. If you’re ready to feel more connected and fully alive, let’s begin. This work is for people who are ready for real change, deeper relationships, sexual confidence, and a clearer sense of self.

I specialize in working with clients who are motived, courageous, and open to exploring their inner world. My goal is to help others achieve their goals. As a licensed clinical social worker, I offer a warm, grounded, and collaborative space where clients can slow down, reflect, and better understand themselves. My approach is person centered and trauma-informed, with a strong foundation in cognitive behavioral and strengths based therapies. Even if clients are not quite sure what that looks like. I help clients by navigating anxiety, relationship struggles, or life transitions. Most people are overwhelmed by pressure. What they tend to want most is clarity, peace, and to feel more connected. They're seeking safe, nonjudgmental space where they can explore their thoughts freely and begin to moe toward a life that feels more aligned and intentional.

I specialize in working with clients navigating identity, relationships, work, and major life transitions. I work best with adults ready for focused, engaged therapy and interested in building greater stability, clarity, and confidence. My approach is structured, collaborative, and active. Sessions require a private, distraction-free space (no driving or being driven), and I work with clients who are prepared to show up consistently and participate actively in the process. In addition to my behavioral health qualifications, I have formal business school training and certification in Human Resources Management, which gives me an additional perspective on career, workplace, leadership, and employment-related concerns that often intersect with men’s identity and well-being.

I help high-functioning adults reconnect with themselves and learn to trust their own judgment again. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable adults who have spent years taking care of everyone else while quietly struggling themselves. They often appear successful on the outside but privately feel anxious, emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, or disconnected from who they used to be. You may be recovering from betrayal, navigating a difficult relationship or divorce, struggling with perfectionism or people-pleasing, healing from trauma, or facing a major life transition. Somewhere along the way, you may have begun second-guessing yourself, losing confidence in your instincts, or wondering why life feels so much harder than it looks from the outside. My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. Together, we'll make sense of the patterns keeping you stuck, calm your nervous system, reduce shame, strengthen healthy boundaries, and build the confidence to make choices that align with your values instead of fear or self-doubt. Therapy should leave you feeling understood, supported, and equipped with practical tools that make everyday life feel lighter.

Life can be hard, and I know that not only from my professional experience, but from my own personal journey. I’ve been working in the mental health field for over six years, but my perspective as a therapist has also been shaped by growing up in a multicultural family, with a Mexican mother and British father, experiencing poverty, becoming the first in my family to attend college, and having the opportunity to experience many different cultures and parts of the world. Those experiences have taught me that no matter how much or how little we have, we are all human. There are no perfect parents, perfect relationships, or perfect people—we’re all imperfect people trying to make sense of life, navigate challenges, and become better versions of ourselves.

Hi, I’m Jessica Vargas LCSW, LISW and I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can be honest, understood, and supported without judgment. Life can become overwhelming, whether you’re navigating relationship challenges, stress, major life changes, anxiety, depression, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next. My approach is warm, compassionate, and practical. I work collaboratively with each client to understand what is happening beneath the surface while developing realistic tools and strategies that can create meaningful change. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Your experiences, goals, and strengths are unique, and our work together should reflect that. I work with teens, adults, and couples who may be struggling with emotional challenges, relationship concerns, communication, self-esteem, life transitions, family conflict, stress, or other challenges that are making it difficult to feel like themselves. For couples, I provide a supportive space to improve communication, understand patterns within the relationship, and work toward a healthier connection. As a therapist, I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable being yourself—even when things feel messy or difficult. My goal isn’t simply to help you get through a challenging moment, but to help you better understand yourself, build confidence in your ability to cope, and develop skills that continue to serve you beyond therapy. Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. If you’re ready to make a change, I’m here to help you take that first step.

The first half of my career was spent in two hospitals providing various services to the inpatient and outpatient population working on medical, surgical, ICU, Burn, and specialty services as well as inpatient physical rehabilitation, substance abuse, and psychiatric units. The second half of my career has included counseling in health clinics, in-home, primary and secondary schools, and the incarcerated populations. A unique experience that I have had that has been quite helpful in understanding controlling environments is related to my involvement in a religious cult as a young adult. The mind controlling environment that I experienced is structurally the same as is experienced in cult abuse, domestic violence, kidnapping, prisoner of war, and any hyper-controlling milieu which has afforded myself with a unique skill set to treat those so affected.

Hello, my name is Vanessa, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed in Florida, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, and South Carolina. I am bilingual in English and Spanish, and I provide counseling in both languages to best support my clients’ needs. My professional background in mental health began during my undergraduate and graduate studies, where I gained experience working with children through the Department of Children & Families, with older adults in skilled nursing facilities, and with adolescents in group homes. Over the years, I have expanded my work to include diverse populations and settings. I served as a Nurse Navigator at one of the largest cancer hospitals in South Florida, providing counseling and advocacy for oncology patients and their families. I have also worked with adults in inpatient rehabilitation for substance use treatment, facilitated care for court-ordered clients, and supported outpatient clients within the LGBTQ+ community. I draw from multiple evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and individualized treatment planning. My focus is to meet clients where they are, help them return to a baseline where they feel comfortable and capable, and empower them to navigate life’s challenges. I consider myself open-minded, compassionate, and deeply empathetic. My mantra is simple: I am here for you. My role is to walk alongside you, provide tools and support, and help you manage both daily stressors and long-standing challenges. Life can feel like a roller coaster—full of unexpected changes, emotions, and pressures—but with the right support, it’s possible to find balance, peace, and overall well-being.

I am an Illinois and Wisconsin Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who has extensive experience working with individuals, groups, couples, and families. I earned my Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University, where the prominent perspective was person-centered therapy. I have worked with several different client populations including couples with marriage difficulties, adults struggling with depression, anxiety, and other life adjustment issues, physically and sexually abused adolescents and adults, adolescents with mental health issues related to school, home, adjustment, or mental illness, and even adolescents and adults on the verge of suicide. In working with these populations, I have gained vast experience in family dynamics and feel it is important to focus on the whole system, especially when a child is involved. I have also been trained in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and I feel many adults and adolescents could greatly benefit from learning these skills. I have lived a long and colorful life. Like everyone else, I've made good and bad choices and learned from each. I have 22+ years experience in the mental health and substance abuse treatment field. I DO NOT JUDGE, AT ALL, PERIOD. I can be both blunt and gentle as appropriate. My role is to offer another perspective, a way to see life more fully and function better, no more, no less. I don't pretend to have all the answers but only one slice of wisdom. I just share what can help someone. Some people are not yet ready to be helped. Yet for those who are feeling lost on life's journey and are willing to listen and learn, I'm here to assist. My life work can be summed up in three words, "offering people hope. " "The wound is where the light enters." - Jeladdin Rumi "A coward dies a thousand deaths, a brave man only once." Martin Luther King Jr. "Wouldn't take nothin' for my journey now." - Maya Angelou "The past is gone, and there is left only a blessing." - Kahlil Gibran "Be true to yourself, and you will be false to no one else." - William Shakespeare "How very lucky are we, for just a moment to be, part of life's eternal rhyme." Charlotte's Web, movie "Not all who wander are lost." J.R.R. Tolkien

I have been licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor since 2004, and have held a supervision designation since 2015. I have also held a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with a supervision/training designation license since 2018. I have maintained a private counseling practice in Chillicothe since 2000, and I continue to work with individuals and families in that capacity. I have dedicated my career to helping others and to working with the community to ensure the well-being of families and children. My most common theoretical approaches are Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Christian Therapy, but I am proud to be able to use a multitude of approaches, dependent on what works best for the client(s) involved. I value the individual and the couple regardless of age or philosophical approach to their life or relationship. I see my goal of treatment as improving the individual or couple to be the best they want to be. My communication tone or approach tends to be direct but laid back. I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth, healing, and positive change. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to work through life's challenges. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients explore the connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while building on the strengths they already possess. For those open to it, I also offer faith-based support, honoring the role that Christian values and spirituality can play in healing. I value a collaborative approach to counseling and believe that therapy should be tailored to each individual's unique needs and experiences. Whether you are facing anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, or simply seeking personal growth, I am committed to helping you discover solutions, build resilience, and move forward with greater confidence and hope. My aim is to support you in creating lasting changes that align with your values and the life you envision for yourself. Together, we identify practical strategies to overcome obstacles, develop healthier coping skills, and create realistic goals that lead to meaningful progress.
