Starting therapy can feel empowering, confusing, or even intimidating—and it’s worth taking a moment to recognize the courage it takes to take this first step toward caring for your mental health. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where you can explore challenges related to anxiety, depression, self-care, and more. My goal is to help you strengthen communication and boundaries with yourself and others so that you can improve your quality of life and move toward the future you envision. Therapy is not just about overcoming obstacles—it’s also about personal growth. Together, we’ll clarify your goals and identify strategies to help you move toward them, whether that means change over the next month, six months, or a year. You’ll leave our sessions with practical insights and “next steps” you can put into action right away. I believe life’s purpose isn’t simply to be happy, but to find meaning—and within that meaning, joy emerges. While the journey isn’t always easy, it can be transformative. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addictions Professional, Internationally Certified Drug Counselor, and Behavior Analyst. I take a strength-based approach, helping you use your unique abilities to address challenges. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to empower you in creating lasting change. Most importantly, I bring a relaxed, compassionate, and trustworthy presence, fostering a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe and supported.

Welcome!! I’m Laura Schwades, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. If you are reading this, it likely means you are going through something difficult, and I want you to know that you are not alone. Whether you are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck in sadness, or trying to make sense of past trauma or substance use, I see your courage in looking for support. It takes strength to ask for help, and I truly honor that step. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who are navigating these very challenges. I understand how heavy life can feel at times and how hard it can be to open up, especially when you are unsure if anyone will truly listen or understand. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and never judged; a space where we can talk openly and work together to help you find clarity, confidence, and healing. I will meet you where you are, and together we will build tools that help you manage emotions, understand yourself more deeply, and create meaningful change in your life. Whether you are just starting out or have tried therapy before, this is your space, and I am here to help guide you through it. You do not have to carry it all alone. Healing takes time. But it starts with a single step, and I would be honored to be part of that journey with you. If you are ready to talk, I invite you to reach out. I am here when you are ready.

My name is Nikki Caravella and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida. I earned my Undergraduate Degree in Social Work at Youngstown State University in 1996 and my Master's Degree at Case Western Reserve University in 1998. Since that time, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse group of clients. Each of them came into service bringing a unique history and presenting with equally distinct needs and expectations of counseling. As a therapist, I treat a wide range of mental health issues and life adjustment challenges. I am experienced in helping clients relieve anxiety using various techniques, including neuro-linguistic programming. For those who have suffered past traumatic events, we can use cognitive/behavioral tools to help reconcile the emotions connected to the events. If you happen to live in or near Ocala and are able to come in person for session, we can utilize a treatment called Accelerated Resolution Therapy to neutralize heightened emotional responses.

What effect do you hope that therapy will have on your life? Are you looking for someone to support you in difficult times? Is it your goal to thrive, rather than just survive? Perhaps you want to explore past events and see how they might be affecting your present. My name is Teresa, and I would be honored to walk with you as you navigate life. I work with individuals who have taken on the role of caregiver, whether professional or personal, in avoiding burnout and compassion fatigue. I empower others in creating and enforcing boundaries. I also assist individuals in cultivating a strong sense of self-worth. I guide individuals who are processing trauma and provide support and care. I support individuals of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and religions. Hola! I’m a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than a decade of experience in mental health, behavioral health, and non-profit work. I grew up in Los Angeles, completed my Master of Social Work at Fordham University in the Bronx, and now call Ocala, Florida home. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals and families across the lifespan, each with their own unique stories and needs. My work is guided by an integrative approach, meaning I draw from a variety of therapeutic methods to find what fits best for you. I’ve worked extensively with family systems, intergenerational trauma, parents and children facing behavioral challenges, neurodivergent individuals, women navigating life transitions, and people seeking to better understand themselves and the patterns that may be causing distress, mood difficulties, anxiety, or OCD. Some of my specialties include helping young adults transition into life after high school, supporting parents and partners as they navigate family life, and walking alongside Latina women who are balancing relationships, cultural expectations, independence, and self-care. I believe deeply that every person’s journey is unique. That’s why I focus on meeting you exactly where you are, empowering you to uncover strengths, solutions, and coping strategies that work for your life. While I am trained in CBT and DBT, I see these as tools within a broader, collaborative process. At the heart of my practice is client-centered care — because there is no single path to healing that fits everyone. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan that honors your voice, builds on your resilience, and empowers you to move toward the life you want to live.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor with extensive experience working with adults facing trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, life transitions, relationship challenges, and co-occurring mental health conditions. Throughout my career, I have worked in outpatient, residential, and community-based settings, helping individuals navigate some of life's most difficult experiences while rediscovering their strengths and sense of purpose. In addition to my clinical experience, I am a United States Air Force veteran and former first responder. These experiences have given me firsthand insight into the unique challenges associated with high-stress professions, trauma exposure, operational demands, transition struggles, and the pressure of carrying significant responsibility while managing your own well-being. As a result, I have a particular passion for working with veterans, active-duty military members, first responders, healthcare professionals, and others whose careers require them to care for others while often neglecting themselves.

My approach to therapy is solution-focused, compassionate, and centered on helping clients build lasting skills. Rather than simply helping someone get through the current crisis, I want to equip them with the tools they need to navigate future challenges with greater confidence and independence. I focus on identifying and addressing the underlying issues that drive recurring patterns, whether that's unresolved childhood trauma, deeply held negative beliefs about oneself, or other core experiences. My goal is to help clients process those experiences, challenge unhelpful cognitions, and develop healthier, more adaptive beliefs about themselves. While it's important to acknowledge and address what's happening in a client's life right now, I believe lasting change comes from understanding and working through the deeper patterns that contribute to those challenges. I strive to balance supporting clients through present-day concerns with helping them create meaningful, long-term change.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker who is deeply curious about people, who we are, and what it takes to become who we want to be. I value authenticity, curiosity, and diverse perspectives. I believe understanding ourselves means looking at the whole picture: our experiences, relationships, identities, our communities and the systems that shape them. When we do that, we expand our capacity for connection, growth, and change. Healing is not always easy or linear; it requires us to grow, sit with discomfort, challenge what we know, and try something different. As the founder Sana Libre, a healing and learning practice, I cultivate spaces that offer people compassion, accountability, and grace.

I completed my Masters in 2005, while also starting my journey in the field in 2004. I spent a year working in Opiate addiction but my true passion was children and families. I moved on to intensive services, working with underserved children and their families in rural areas, from 2005-2007. After leaving that position, I moved onto a company doing similar work. where I continued to work with children, families and adults that were underserved for 5 more years. I provided therapy in homes, schools and the office setting. I began to focus in on Trauma work as well as anxiety disorders to include OCD and all other anxiety disorders. After spending nearly 10 years in the field, I decided to get my license in the state of Florida (LMHC-Licensed Mental Health Counselor) and move into a management role where I worked for the past 13 years while also maintaining private clients. I supervise therapists, working to become licensed, so I spend a lot of time consulting on cases of all kinds. In this time I was also trained in various forms of trauma based cognitive behavioral approaches as well as EMDR (still learning however).

I believe therapy is less about having all the answers and more about having a place where you can be honest about what’s really going on. Life can be complicated, and sometimes we just need someone who will listen without judgment, help us make sense of things, and walk alongside us as we figure out what comes next. My practice is grounded in connection, curiosity, and creating a space where you can show up as yourself. You don’t have to have the right words or know exactly where to begin. We can start wherever you are and take it from there. I’m interested in the whole person—not just the problem that brings you in. Together, we can explore the experiences, relationships, patterns, and beliefs that may be shaping how you see yourself and navigate the world. I also believe therapy should be useful outside the room, so our work can include practical tools and new ways of approaching the things that matter most to you. I don’t believe growth means becoming a different person. To me, it’s often about becoming more connected to who you already are—understanding yourself more deeply, trusting your voice, setting boundaries, and making choices that feel true to you. My hope is that our work feels like a genuine partnership: a place where you feel seen, understood, and supported while creating meaningful change in your life.

Are you experiencing frustration, confusion or turmoil in your life? Even to the point where you see no sense of direction while trying to navigate through life? At times, this can be overwhelming for individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, PTSD, including other mental health disorders. Hi! My name is Stephaney and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with almost a decade of experience in treating adults and adolescents for various mental health challenges and co-occurring diagnoses. I was inspired to become a therapist by my unique experience migrating to the United States at the age of 13 and attending middle school which was very challenging for me. Culture shock became my reality and one that would eventually lead me to “Severe anxiety.” Even with a very strong family support system, I felt alone and trapped by my own inner fears and self-defeating thoughts. Constant worry and fear of being bullied by my peers became my everyday experience. Through all these obstacles, I was able to process my feelings and experiences with my faith in Jesus Christ, supportive family, and a few good friends. To this extent, I have come to recognize the benefits of a strong support system and the need for social and relational connection. As a mental health counselor, I’m privileged to be a part of that support system for many people. I work with my clients to connect the dots between their thoughts, emotions, and actions, all while providing sound strategies to promote healthier thought processes. I believe that every human being deserves a chance to be heard and understood, and therapy has taught me that as human beings, we are more alike than different. So as your therapist, I’m excited to be a listening ear for you and help guide you toward your goals.

I’m a direct, honest therapist who believes real change happens when we stop pretending things are fine. I work especially well with individuals who feel stuck in patterns of people-pleasing, over-functioning, or putting others’ needs before their own. I help clients develop healthier boundaries, strengthen self-worth, and create relationships that feel more balanced and authentic. I understand the tug-of-war between wanting relief and wanting control — and how exhausting it is to live in that space. I also get how hard it is to find balance in a world that moves too fast and demands too much. If you’re tired of surface-level fixes, quick advice, or being told what you should do, we’ll probably work well together. I’m not a quick-fix or band-aid therapist. My goal is to help you slow things down, get honest, and reconnect with your truth — not the version of you shaped by pressure, expectations, or survival mode.

Are you looking for a space to navigate current stressors—somewhere you can unwind and express thoughts or emotions that feel too heavy to carry alone? Do you want support in understanding mental health symptoms or building a personalized toolbox of coping skills? Hi, I’m Maryam. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, born and raised, and of Venezuelan descent. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish. I graduated from the University of South Florida with degrees in Psychology and Health Sciences and later earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University. My clinical experience includes working in mobile crisis response, outpatient counseling, addiction treatment, and telehealth therapy. Across all settings, my priority is to create a non-judgmental, safe, and welcoming environment where you can work toward your goals at a pace that feels right for you. I take a holistic approach and integrate a variety of therapeutic interventions, including art and music-inspired techniques, cognitive reframing to challenge negative self-talk, solution-focused strategies, and what I like to call “care-frontation.” I often offer optional tasks or reflections between sessions to help deepen your progress. I’d be honored to support you as we begin this healing journey together.

I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor. I am a former school counselor who spent over 20 years helping students and their families work corporately to identify and manage feelings and behaviors that impacted daily functioning. I graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in teaching and completed my graduate work in counseling at Florida International University and Barry University. My passion for being in this field comes from believing that every individual should have a safe space to work through life challenges while feeling supported.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience supporting adults through cancer, survivorship, caregiving, and other major life and medical transitions. My work often focuses on the emotional and relational impact of these experiences—including anxiety, grief, changes in identity and body image, relationship concerns, and shifts in intimacy and sexual health. I also work with adults who want to better understand themselves and the patterns that show up in their relationships, especially during times of change, uncertainty, or stress. I also specialize in sexual health and intimacy, supporting individuals who are navigating desire differences, sexual shame, body image concerns, or changes related to illness, stress, aging, or past experiences. These can be difficult topics to talk about, but they are an important part of emotional and relational well-being—and they deserve thoughtful, non-judgmental care. My approach to therapy is collaborative, relational, and tailored to your unique needs. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you—it’s about helping you better understand what you’re carrying, reconnect with your strengths, and move forward with more clarity, self-compassion, and intention.

I previously served in the Air Force, serving my country. I have a bachelor's in dietetics and nutrition with years of nutrition counseling as well. Hi, I’m Miranda! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Marine Corps veteran. I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation—not like you’re being analyzed from across the room. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life changes, or simply feeling stuck. My approach is warm, honest, and practical. There’s space for the hard conversations, the messy ones, and yes, even some laughter along the way. You don’t have to show up knowing exactly what to say or where to start. We’ll figure that part out together and focus on what moving forward looks like for you.

Greetings! I'm Aeron (she/her) and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Master's Certified Addictions Professional, and EMDR Institute Trained Therapist located in FL with 7 years of experience. I am so happy you are here and starting your therapy journey! I specialize in trauma, LGBTQIA++ issues, women's issues, self-esteem, body image/repairing an unhealthy relationship with food, anxiety, and depression. I show up to sessions as my authentic self! This means that I am not a "blank slate" style therapist, and believe it is incredibly vital to healing to discuss all factors contributing to distress, including (but not limited to!) the impact of racial and cultural factors, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, misogyny, generational and religious trauma, colonization, current political climate, and late-stage capitalism on mental health. No topic is off limits, and I can promise a safe space to explore all facets of your experience.

Yes! If you use Arlo you’ll be asked to verify your Member ID at the time you book the appointment. However, if you don’t have Arlo you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
