With nine years of experience as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and intern, I bring a compassionate, client-centered approach to my work. My professional background also includes serving for eight years in school settings as a guidance counselor and ESE teacher, where I supported students’ academic, social, and emotional development. I am a proud mother to a 28-year-old daughter and share my home with a lovable Shih Tzu and two spirited cats. Outside of work, I enjoy relaxing with family and friends and find joy in helping others however I can. Known for being highly detail-oriented, I strive to bring clarity and care to everything I do. I also believe that humor—used at the right moment—can be one of the best tools for connection and healing, because laughter truly is the best medicine.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session is really about getting to know you. We will talk about what’s been going on, and share any personal or family history that might help me understand the full picture. We will set some goals together and get a sense of whether I feel like a good fit for you. How to Prepare: Bring a list of your medications, be ready to talk honestly about your symptoms, and jot down any questions you want to ask. Overall, the first appointment is simply a starting point to create a treatment plan that truly supports your mental health.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is based on the idea that: thoughts influence feelings, feelings influence behaviors, behaviors reinforce thoughts. By identifying and changing unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, people can break negative cycles and improve emotional well being.
