Hello! My name is Gaby, and I've been on this journey of helping people for a while now. I graduated with a degree in psychology in 2011 and have since immersed myself in various therapeutic settings across Utah. I took my passion for supporting individuals and communities a step further by earning my masters degree in social work in 2019. Fast forward and now I have been living and working in Maryland since 2025, where I have been able to help individuals experiencing who are experiencing mental health, substance use, and other life stressors.
I completed my Masters in 2005, while also starting my journey in the field in 2004. I spent a year working in Opiate addiction but my true passion was children and families. I moved on to intensive services, working with underserved children and their families in rural areas, from 2005-2007. After leaving that position, I moved onto a company doing similar work. where I continued to work with children, families and adults that were underserved for 5 more years. I provided therapy in homes, schools and the office setting. I began to focus in on Trauma work as well as anxiety disorders to include OCD and all other anxiety disorders. After spending nearly 10 years in the field, I decided to get my license in the state of Florida (LMHC-Licensed Mental Health Counselor) and move into a management role where I worked for the past 13 years while also maintaining private clients. I supervise therapists, working to become licensed, so I spend a lot of time consulting on cases of all kinds. In this time I was also trained in various forms of trauma based cognitive behavioral approaches as well as EMDR (still learning however).
For the past 12 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, heal, and discover their potential through therapy. I’ve worked with diverse populations, including military personnel, youth, and adults, and I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment.
My ideal client is someone who is ready for change, needs a little encouragement to take that next step, or wants to better understand who they are, why they think and behave the way they do, and how to become the best version of themselves. Whether you’re navigating a life transition, working through past experiences, or simply trying to find your footing, you don’t have to have it all figured out before starting therapy. We all have a starting point, and you’re welcome to begin yours here.
