I graduated with a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I have had the opportunity to work with families, individuals and couples (English and Spanish speaking) of diverse backgrounds in helping them through concerns such as grief, parent-child conflict, intergenerational conflict, trauma, depression, anxiety and so on. My therapeutic and advocacy experience has reinforced in me the value of helping others gain insight and implement strategies to move towards positive change.

I am a bilingual (English/Spanish), Latina clinician with 23 years in mental health and health care settings, working with diverse cultures and races within the South Florida area. I specialize in trauma-informed care using EMDR, for individuals and couples, and I use various evidenced-based clinical practices in the areas of relationships, phobias, eating disorders, neurodivergence, attachment disorders, addictions, life transitions, pre & post natal maternal depression & birth trauma, anxiety, chronic illness, grief & loss, abuse & neglect, work with first responders & military, and depression. I have a passion for integrating faith-based perspectives and a holistic approach, per client preference or request, to healing and wellness, and being creative in my approach to therapy, incorporating multiple schools of thought and theories/interventions into therapy. Hello! My name is Ashley Harlan and I am a licensed professional counselor and certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor who specializes in working with adolescents and young adults who have experienced trauma, substance use, life stressors and transitions, depression, and anxiety. I received a Master of Science of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University in 2017. Since then, I have worked in both residential and outpatient settings, conducting individual, group, and family therapy sessions. I have previously served as the Clinical Supervisor for an inpatient rehab for adolescents. Additionally, I am adjunct faculty for two online colleges, teaching psychology-related topics.
