I chose to become a therapist after experiencing a time in my life when I struggled to find a provider I could truly relate to. I have been a licensed Mental Health Counselor (licensed in Nevada, Florida, and Virginia), providing care to individuals and families for over seven years. I have completed over half of my academics towards a PhD in social psychology better to understand social influences on mental health and relationships. I started my career working in a county jail, working with offenders. Although I am passionate about working with offenders to reintegrate into society, my career took another path four years ago. I found a passion for working with the LGBTQ+ community, adults, the aging population, couples, and families as they overcome daily struggles in their lives.
