Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, explore what’s been going on, and begin building a supportive connection. Together, we’ll start identifying your strengths and set some initial goals based on what matters most to you. There’s no rush—we’ll go at your pace. This first step is all about getting to know each other, building trust, and laying the groundwork for meaningful, collaborative work ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a bilingual therapist, I bring a collaborative, and culturally sensitive approach to every session. I specialize in working with children and adults, creating a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. My greatest strengths lie in helping clients navigate complex emotions, shift unhelpful patterns, and build practical tools for real-life change. With a creative and engaging style, I make therapy approachable—especially for families balancing cultural identities and emotional challenges.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to support children, adolescents, adults, and families who are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or disconnected and are ready to begin healing in a supportive, nonjudgmental space. My ideal clients may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, parenting stress, self-esteem challenges, relationship difficulties, or the emotional impact of substance use and recovery. I also work well with parents who want to better understand their children, strengthen communication, and create healthier family dynamics. Many of the clients I work best with are seeking practical tools, emotional clarity, and a deeper understanding of themselves. Some may come to therapy feeling unsure, exhausted, or hesitant, while others are highly motivated and ready to make changes. I enjoy working with clients who want to build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, process past experiences, strengthen relationships, and move toward a more balanced and meaningful life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a practical, evidence-based approach I use to help you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. Together, we’ll explore the “tricks” your mind has learned from past experiences and how those patterns might be keeping you stuck. Through this process, you’ll learn how to shift unhelpful thoughts, manage emotions in healthier ways, and build useful tools to face challenges with more confidence. CBT helps your brain create new, more empowering habits so you can feel more in control and hopeful about your life.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) is a supportive, evidence-based approach I use to help young children and their caregivers heal from stress, trauma, or difficult life experiences. In our sessions, I work with both the child and parent together to strengthen your relationship, understand each other's needs, and create a safe space for healing. Through play, conversation, and reflection, we explore how past experiences may affect your child’s behavior and emotions—and how you, as a caregiver, can be a secure base to help them grow emotionally strong. The goal is to build trust, improve communication, and support both of you in feeling more connected and confident.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-Based Therapy is a gentle, effective approach I use to help you become more aware of your thoughts, feelings, and body in the present moment—without judgment. It’s about slowing down, tuning in, and learning how to respond to life calmly and clearly instead of reacting automatically. In our work together, I’ll guide you through simple mindfulness practices like breathing, grounding, and body awareness. These help reduce stress, manage difficult emotions, and create space for more self-compassion and balance in your daily life.
