About
I discovered a strong calling to support women navigating self-doubt, perfectionism, overthinking, and the weight of constantly putting others’ needs before their own. If you see yourself in this, you are not alone. It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you work toward the goals that matter most to you. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker originally from Orlando, Florida, now proudly serving clients in Georgia and Florida. I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Central Florida. I integrate evidence-based modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, Motivational Interviewing techniques, mindfulness practices, and trauma-informed care. I identify as she/her and as a Latina therapist, and I’m passionate about providing culturally informed therapy that honors the intersection of identity, culture, family dynamics, and lived experience. Creating a space where clients feel safe, understood, and represented is central to my work. Outside of being a mental health therapist, I enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and family, practicing yoga, being near the water, reading, and meditating.
First session
You can expect to get to explore and unpack a bit on what brings you to therapy, and go over your history. Explore what your therapy goals; in a warm and collaborative way.
Strengths
My therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own life and lived experiences. My role is not to “fix” you, but to meet you where you are and help guide you toward tools, insight, and healing. Together, we’ll explore patterns that may be contributing to burnout, overwhelm, or self-sacrifice, while building skills that help you feel more seen, valued, and aligned.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is an adult woman who feels overwhelmed by the pressure to hold everything together. She may be struggling with anxiety, burnout, people-pleasing, perfectionism, low self-worth, or navigating a major life transition. She's ready to better understand herself, learn healthier coping strategies, set boundaries with confidence, and create a life that feels more balanced and aligned with her values. Whether you're beginning therapy for the first time or returning to continue your growth, I'm here to support you every step of the way.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
One of the approaches I use is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, which focuses on the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and actions. Together, we'll slow things down and explore the thoughts that tend to pop up automatically in difficult situations. Many of these thoughts happen so quickly that we don't even realize they're influencing how we feel or respond. As we work together, I'll help you recognize unhelpful thinking patterns and learn how to question whether they're completely accurate. Rather than forcing "positive thinking," we'll practice developing more balanced, realistic perspectives that can reduce anxiety, build confidence, and help you respond in ways that align with your goals. We'll also focus on taking small, intentional steps outside of sessions that can improve your mood, reduce avoidance, and help you feel more like yourself again. My goal is to give you practical tools you can use in everyday life, not just during our time together.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I also incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques to help you change your relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions. Instead of fighting or trying to get rid of every uncomfortable feeling, we'll practice making space for them without letting them control your choices. Together, we'll learn how to respond to challenges with greater self-compassion, stay connected to what matters most to you, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want, even when things feel difficult.
Compassion Focused
I also incorporate Compassion-Focused Therapy techniques to help you develop a kinder, more supportive relationship with yourself. If you're someone who is often your own harshest critic, we'll work on quieting that inner voice and replacing it with greater understanding, patience, and self-compassion. My goal is to help you respond to yourself with the same kindness you would offer someone you care about, especially during difficult moments.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
I believe your life experiences, culture, identity, family values, and background all play an important role in your mental health. In our work together, I'll take the time to understand what has shaped you without making assumptions or asking you to leave parts of yourself at the door. Whether your experiences involve navigating cultural expectations, family dynamics, generational patterns, or balancing different identities, our sessions will honor what matters most to you and build on your unique strengths.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I also incorporate mindfulness-based techniques to help you slow down, become more aware of your thoughts and emotions, and stay grounded in the present moment. Together, we'll practice simple strategies to help you manage stress, reduce overwhelm, and respond to life's challenges with greater calm, clarity, and intention.
