I am very pleased to meet you. Before coming here and seeing my profile, you may have struggled alone for a long time, unable to easily share your personal issues with anyone, or perhaps you did share, but felt misunderstood or not fully supported. In a safe and trustworthy environment, I am ready to listen to your concerns or issues with empathy, without any bias or judgment. I am a 54 year old bi-culutral father of two adolescents in the year 2025. With all of the social pressures that our families have been subject to, it's never been more important to be close and listen to each other. Social disconnect is the new pandemic and the challenges that interefere with social connection are the same ones driving our sense of faulty connection and confusion with pleasure and happiness.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a PhD and almost 20 years of clinical experience working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma, burnout, and addictive patterns. My approach is integrative, relational, and strengths-based, but what distinguishes my work is the combination of deep exploration with practical change. I help clients understand not only what they are feeling, but why certain patterns keep repeating across relationships, work, family, and major life decisions, and what can be done differently.
I work especially well with adults who may already have insight into their struggles but still feel caught in overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, emotional disconnection, or difficult relationship patterns. Therapy with me is collaborative and active: we may explore family-of-origin dynamics, attachment, identity, trauma, and longstanding beliefs while also building concrete tools for emotional regulation, communication, boundaries, and decision-making. The goal is not simply to reduce symptoms, but to help you develop greater self-trust, flexibility, and the ability to live and relate in ways that feel more authentic and intentional.

I am invested in helping you recognize thinking and (in)action patterns that hold you back or help you flourish. You may gain clarity about attitudes and beliefs informing everyday behaviors. Building motivation and tapping into innate resilience is a major part of the healing journey. The focus can be on lowering stress, increasing safety and security in relationships, and developing healthy self-esteem. This involves exploring current coping and refining skills for various situations and settings. Over time and with practice, you may become more flexible and responsive. You may feel more readiness for new and harder challenges. A gentle exploration of trauma, which is all too often a major source for present distress, is part of the work.

I'd like to acknowledge the strength it requires to take that first step of reaching out for help with your mental health from a therapist. I know it's not easy to begin the journey to better self understanding, compassion, and mastery.
My aim is to create a safe environment in which we can explore your own personal history, themes, and challenges, in order to find resources and solutions to the obstacles that hold you back from being exactly the person you've always wanted to be.
I will pay attention to who you are as an individual, reflect back your strengths, and help you to tie together the seemingly disparate aspects of your life so that you realize how much sense you make, have compassion for all phases of your development, and leave behind what no longer serves you to find the life you've always wanted.
Together we can build up your sense of self, your resilience, and your ability to find peace of mind.
