You're the expert on your own life. My role is to listen first. I believe healing begins when you feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood.
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by responsibilities that others may not see. They may be balancing cultural expectations, family responsibilities, demanding careers, relationship challenges, or the emotional impact of trauma, grief, or a chronic health condition. Others are navigating major life transitions and wondering how to move forward while staying true to themselves.
I provide culturally responsive, client-centered therapy in both English and Mandarin. I especially enjoy working with immigrants, children of immigrants, students, young adults, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, burnout, perfectionism, relationship concerns, and life transitions.
As the founder of UCLight Therapy and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I hold both master's and doctorate degrees in social work from the University at Albany, State University of New York. Over the past decade, I've taught in higher education and conducted research on the mental health of Asian American and Hispanic communities, deepening my understanding of how culture, family, and life experiences shape emotional well-being.
Living with a significant medical condition has also strengthened my appreciation for grief, resilience, and hope. While everyone's journey is different, it has reinforced my commitment to creating a compassionate space where clients feel deeply understood and supported. My goal isn't simply to reduce symptoms—it's to help you reconnect with your strengths and build a life that reflects your values.
Hey, I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I’m really glad you’re here. Taking this step for your mental health is a big deal, and I’m genuinely proud of you for making it a priority. You don’t have to figure this out alone—I’m excited to embark on this journey with you and help you navigate this process at a pace that feels right for you.
In our work together, I pull from a few different modalities in my wheelhouse: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotion regulation and boundaries, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma‐Focused CBT (T‐CBT) for shifting unhelpful thought patterns, Motivational Interviewing for getting unstuck and building momentum, Family Systems for understanding family dynamics, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for living more in line with what truly matters to you. We might lean on one approach or blend several, but the goal is always the same—to help you feel more grounded, more understood, and more equipped to handle real-life stress, not just “therapy room” problems
It is always a privilege to partner with clients on their journey to improved mental health. I work with clients to discover their value and process through past hurts and traumas. I provide a safe place to process current and past issues and also provide psychoeducation so clients can learn new, healthy coping skills. I refer to myself as a tour guide on the road to healing.
My journey as a counselor began working with the Veterans Hospital in an outpatient clinic working with veterans with Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, survivors of sexual assault and educating the family. I also have experience working with those who have experienced Intimate Partner Violence, Post Partum-Depression and family members who are caregivers. I am a mother, a caregiver and grandmother who plays an active role in grandkid’s life.
I provide virtual therapy using an integrated, whole-person approach that focuses not only on navigating difficult periods, but also on maintaining progress, building resilience, and supporting long-term mental wellness. Therapy can be both restorative and preventative, and I work with clients across all stages of that process.
I treat a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, personality-related patterns, and life transitions. My clinical background includes experience with higher-acuity and complex cases—such as forensic populations, individuals in psychiatric settings, and those managing co-occurring mental and medical conditions. While my current practice is fully virtual, I am comfortable addressing difficult or sensitive topics and provide a space where clients can speak openly without hesitation.
My approach is direct, engaged, and collaborative. I prioritize building strong, trusting relationships and creating a setting where clients feel understood and supported. I recognize that progress is not always linear and work consistently with clients through both setbacks and growth.
I am multilingual and can provide therapy in English, Lithuanian, and conversational Hungarian languages.
Hello! I am a provider who utilizes solution-focused, mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral therapy practices to help others address challenges and create a more balanced life. I am drawn to both rational and holistic practices, but it really starts with your goals and preferences.
At 19-years old, I was involved in a traumatic motor vehicle accident and spent several years recovering- both physically and emotionally. This experience has led me toward the field of counseling and wanting to work directly with people needing support and guidance.
I completed my undergraduate degree at University of California, San Diego with specialization in Clinical Psychology. After graduation, I volunteered for an equine therapy program and provided therapy services for children with Autism. After several years, I decided to pursue a Masters in Social Work at California State University San Marcos. I have worked in Dialysis outpatient, psychiatric, educational and research settings and have found it valuable to provide services to many different types of communities.
I am glad that you have considered reaching out for therapy. I hope to be a part of your journey.
I believe every individual has unique strengths, and I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where clients feel understood and empowered. I work with individuals using compassionate, evidence-based approaches that focus on building meaningful skills, increasing independence, and celebrating progress every step of the way. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), helping clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical coping skills. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, or difficulties with emotion regulation. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or looking to build healthier coping skills, I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore challenges and work toward meaningful change.
Hello! My name is MaKalia Zinn. I am a Southern gal currently embracing the beauty of California, bringing with me a deep commitment to holistic wellness. My clinical practice is guided by the belief that true healing occurs when we address the whole person—mentally, physically, and spiritually. My values inform my view of restoration; I believe that when we intentionally nourish every part of our being, we create a grounded foundation that allows us to navigate life’s complexities with renewed perspective.
With all of my clients, the priority is to connect – connection breeds trust – trust breeds comfort – and when you’re comfortable within your environment, you have a good foundation from which to start venturing down the path of your individualized therapy. When you feel comfortable enough to be honest about your anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, relationship struggles, trauma, or life stressors, real work can begin.
The reason why I choose the work I do, is because psychology is incredibly dynamic – no two people are the same. Many of us share similar moments in life, but the way in which those experiences affect us, is as individualized as each person I work with. That’s why I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy, your story deserves its own structure.
I'm Lily, a bilingual (English/Spanish) licensed therapist supporting mothers, parents and families through pregnancy, postpartum, and the identity shifts that come with both. My practice is fully telehealth, which means you can meet with me from wherever feels safest and most comfortable, your couch, your car during a nap window, wherever works. I just care about you showing up as you are.
As a parent, human, 1st generation Latina, and someone who has lived through depression, postpartum struggles, and loss, I'm drawn to supporting others through situations that can be difficult to even put into words. My work is personal. Instead of seeing clients as a number, I hold space for the parts of life that are hard to process, heal, or acknowledge. My hope is to be part of a journey that doesn't just empower my clients, but also gives them tools and skills they can carry forward to navigate this journey we call life.
Hi, I’m Brittnay. I am a licensed therapist providing culturally grounded, intersectional mental health support across California. As a Black, queer practitioner, my practice is rooted in the belief that healing happens when you can bring your entire, authentic self into the room. That is why I offer an unapologetic, trauma-informed space where your lived experiences as a QTBIPOC individual are not just understood, but honored. Together, we will work through life’s complexities without you ever needing to explain your basic identity. Whether you are looking to process minority stress, heal from trauma, or navigate relationships, I am here to walk alongside you. You do not have to do this work alone. Let's build a space where you can feel deeply seen, safe, and supported.

If you're considering therapy, chances are you're carrying something that feels heavy, and you're looking for someone who can help you make sense of it. Change requires courage, self-awareness, and a willingness to try something different - when people are motivated and can learn healthier, more adaptive ways of thinking/feeling, meaningful growth is possible. As a therapist, I am warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I strive to create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, even when you're talking about the parts of your life that feel messy, painful, or difficult to understand. Clients often tell me they appreciate my sense of humor, my kindness, and my ability to challenge them in a way that feels supportive rather than confrontational. I believe therapy doesn't have to feel cold or clinical. Some of our work may be serious, but I also believe healing can happen in moments of connection, insight, and even laughter. My role is not to tell you what to do or who to be. Instead, I work alongside you to better understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop practical tools for change, and help you move toward the life you want to create. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, self-worth, or navigating a difficult season of life, I will meet you where you are and support you in taking the next step forward.
I have been a therapist for 19 years and I love my job! I love connecting with women who want to level up and let go of what is no longer serving them. I believe in empowering you with tools and resources so that the work with me is intentional, targeted, and short-term. I have a spiritual orientation and work with my clients holistically, meaning mind, body, and spirit. If you are open to energy work, then we may be a good fit.

I understand how overwhelming anxiety can feel and how much courage it takes to seek help. My goal is to empower clients to face their fears, reduce distress, and move toward a life that is guided by their values rather than their anxiety. Whether you are struggling with intrusive thoughts, excessive worry, appearance-related concerns, or compulsive behaviors, I am committed to helping you achieve meaningful and lasting change.

Hello and welcome to my page :) My name is Bahar Amini. I am a first-generation Afghan-American woman with a background in Psychology and Social Work. After experiencing my own mental health struggles during my early college years, I decided to change my major to Psychology in hopes to better understand what was happening. Eventually, after some more trial and error, I made my way to obtaining my Master's degree in Social Work at California State University, Dominguez Hills in 2020. I am grateful for my own lived experiences, what I have learned from teachers inside of the classroom, outside of the classroom, and from afar which have influenced what my practice is today. Lastly, I am grateful to my clients. I have learned and continue to learn so much from them.

There are times when the life we are living no longer feels quite like the life we imagined. A relationship changes. Something or someone important is no longer where they once were. The future feels less certain. A question we thought we had answered returns. Or we simply find ourselves wondering what comes next. Therapy provides those moments a place to go—a place to pause, reflect, and consider what matters now, what has changed, and what we are still carrying with us.
Hello and Welcome! Hola y Bienvenido! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am a bilingual therapist (English and Spanish). I want to help you overcome the trauma and help you regain back your strength and power. Through our therapeutic relationship, we will work together to heal from your past and/or current stressors that are affecting you. We will work towards identifying triggers, self-insight work, self-awareness, acquiring healthy coping skills, and decreasing symptoms. I specialized in working with tweens/adolescents, adults, and older adults from all different backgrounds, many of whom have experienced various traumas in their lives. Whatever your needs may be or reasons for seeking therapy, I am here for you.

My background in emergency psychiatric services and behavioral health has given me extensive experience helping individuals through some of life’s most difficult moments with compassion and without judgment.
My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to your unique needs. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who understands that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable—especially when you are used to handling everything on your own. You may be feeling anxious, discouraged, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or simply aware that something in your life needs to change. You do not need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy.
My style is warm, honest, collaborative, and practical. Therapy is your journey, and you remain at the center of it. My role is to walk alongside you—offering a safe place to speak openly, meaningful insight, and practical support as you create lasting change and move toward a life that feels healthier, more connected, and authentically yours.
.I draw from CBT, DBT, ACT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and attachment-based approaches, tailoring our work to your needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all method. Together, we can better understand what is keeping you stuck, recognize your strengths, and develop tools that help you feel more regulated and attuned.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California and licensed in WA with more than 20 years of experience providing individual, couples, and family therapy. My areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, anger issues, and self-harm ideation and behaviors. I want to get to know you and what might be happening with you that you are seeking counseling for. Many times people come to therapy when they are in some type of distress. Sometimes this is conscious and sometimes not. If you are struggling or distressed for some reason or grieving a loss in life, ( or not sure but something has changed) I would like to see how we can work in therapy.
The way we work will depend on the issues you bring to therapy. I have experience with different approaches to therapy including but not limited to HUMANISTIC THERAPY (includes the importance of personal responsibility, and a positive, non-judgmental approach), STRUCTURAL FAMILY SYSTEMS (includes the importance of family structure and healthy boundaries), GOTTMAN (includes helping couples communicate better, resolve conflicts constructively, and create a shared sense of meaning), CBT (generally includes a short-term approach that helps you identify and change negative or unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior to improve your mood and overall well-being).

My name is Javi Gonzalez, and I am a Hispanic therapist originally from Mexico. My personal and professional background has shaped the way I connect with clients, especially men from the Latino/Hispanic community who are navigating addiction, depression, cultural identity, family expectations, relationship conflict, anxiety, and stress.

In therapy, I work to create a space where clients can be honest without feeling judged. My style is direct, respectful, practical, and compassionate. I believe clients deserve both support and honest feedback as they work toward meaningful change and resolve your problems.
My own life experiences have given me a deep respect for resilience, survival, and the effort it takes to build a different future. I know that issues like poverty, cultural pressure, family responsibility, community violence, immigration experiences, and addiction can deeply affect how a person sees themselves and relates to others.
I help clients identify unhealthy patterns, develop better coping skills, improve communication, and build healthier relationships with themselves, their partners, and their families. I especially enjoy working with Spanish-speaking clients who want therapy that feels culturally familiar, honest, and focused on real-life progress.
