Hello, I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with 12 years of experience. I understand that each person seeks therapy for their own unique challenges; therefore, therapy should not be a one-size-fits-all approach. My therapeutic approach is an eclectic one. I am well-versed in Solution Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Attachment Therapy, Psychodynamic and Art Therapy. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy and Play Therapy. I am certified in EMDR.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Building rapport is key! The first few sessions will be spent on building rapport, completing an assessment, and working on a problems list/treatment goals to prioritize in therapy. Depending on the client's age and cognitive development, rapport building will look different to everyone.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I genuinely enjoy helping clients through life's challenges! My ability to connect with clients and meet them where they are has proven to be one of the most powerful tools in the healing process. I am empathetic, nonjudgemental and use evidenced based techniques. When combined, these interventions have proven to facilitate the most growth and provide a safe space for clients.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

Attachment theory is always used as the first part of psychoeducation when orienting clients to how childhood trauma manifests into adulthood and drives current symptoms and behaviors.

EMDR

I'm certified in EMDR and use it often with trauma issues.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Used often with anxiety symptoms and depression. I teach mindfulness to help combat anxiety, depression and trauma symptoms.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Always used to build rapport and needed to establish a connection with clients. I use this as a strength based technique.
