About me

Building solid, trusting relationships is among my greatest strengths as a therapist. It is essential for me to help you work on your issues without fear of criticism and a secure sense that you feel accepted. I strive to create a safe, productive place for you to grow, learn and change. I take a comprehensive approach in my work so that we may consider your life experiences, biology and social environment - all of which influence who you are. We will work collaboratively to identify and change repetitive patterns that may be getting in your way. I work with eating disorders, body dysmorphia, depression/ mood disorders, anxiety, as well as various other issues as they pertain to relationships. I have had success in working with individuals who struggle with high emotional reactivity, as well as having difficulty coping and self soothing. Through this journey, we will work together to understand and improve each unique life circumstance.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I want my clients to leave our first session with a sense of comfort and connection. I aim to create a space that is entirely safe and accepting, as you discuss personal history, concerns and goals for therapy. You will walk away feeling both heard and validated.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is grounded acceptance and non- judgement. My goal is for all of my clients to feel truly seen and heard. I believe in meeting each individual where they are, validating their experiences, and helping them discover their own strengths and resilience as they move toward healing and growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals who feel caught in patterns of worry, self criticism and disordered eating, and want to build a healthier relationship with themselves. They're ready to better understand their emotions , learn coping skills, and find freedom from cycles of anxiety, perfectionism , or body image concerns. I work best with clients who are open to exploring both thoughts and behaviors, and are ready to make meaningful , lasting change using evidence- based approaches like CBT , ACT, DBT as well as other approaches as deemed appropriate.

This serves as a great foundation for all therapy approaches. It assists in identifying thought patterns , which ultimately influence how we feel and what we do. Once we know how we think, we can set goals to challenge and restructure this process.

Adlerian

I utilize this approach because it serves to increase self awareness and self acceptance. I believe that building a stronger sense of self allows for personal growth and improved confidence. It helps us to take necessary steps confidently set and meet goals.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I integrate ACT to help increase emotional tolerance and resilience in confronting difficult thoughts and emotions. It's a collaborative approach and gives opportunity for extensive values work.
