I'm Tobey Allen, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience walking alongside through life's biggest transitions. My own path has included more than one reinvention, from a career in graphic design to becoming an art therapist, and that experience shapes how I support clients navigating change today.
Whether you're facing a career shift, caring for aging parents, adjusting to chronic pain or illness, or working through grief, I bring both clinical training and lived experience reinventing my own path. I also spent years as a bereavement therapist in hospice care, so I understand grief deeply, both as a clinician and as someone who has sat with families through some of their hardest moments.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and genuinely non-judgmental. Together we'll work to uncover the patterns keeping you stuck, whether in relationships, at work, within yourself, and build toward a life that feels more balanced and true to who you are.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering talk therapy to adults.
I am passionate about reducing the stigma around therapy and creating a supportive space for healing, exploration, and growth. As a grounded therapist I seek to help clients navigate life’s challenges with insight, clarity, and accountability.
With over 10 years of clinical experience that spans over diverse settings, including community mental health, high-crisis inpatient care, and residential programs for foster youth. I have supported individuals and families facing anxiety, blended family dynamics, neurodivergence, and significant life transitions such as loss, incarceration, or shifting roles within family structure.

- I am an experienced trauma-informed therapist. I help clients who have experienced trauma and PTSD.
- I provide neurodiverse-affirming care and specialize in helping clients with ADHD, Autism and AuDHD.
- I support clients through their grief journeys, especially if you have lost someone to suicide, murder, or an accident. I also help people going through ambiguous loss.
- I think of disability and chronic pain/illnesses in terms of finding better accommodations rather than believing that the client is the problem. I help you determine what can be changed and what needs to be accepted.
I received an excellent education, first a BA in Economics at the University of Chicago and then with my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from California State University, Long Beach. Since receiving my Master’s, I have continued to heavily invest in my education and received several certifications in mental health models.
I have worked with many different types of clients with a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds, ages, races, religions, nationalities, ethnicities, disability statuses, educations, sexual orientations, and gender identities. I am an LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC affirmative therapist. I have a lived experience of not being part of the dominant culture in several of my own identities, including religion, nationality, ethnicity, disability and sexual orientation and I use that experience to nurture my empathy for all my clients.
I feel incredibly lucky that I am a therapist because providing therapy is a passion for me.

A Holistic Perspective
I believe that mental health is inextricably linked to physical well-being. When I’m not in the clinician’s chair, I’m likely moving. This personal commitment to the mind-body connection informs my therapeutic perspective—I understand the discipline and rhythm required to foster lasting change.
The "Co-Therapist"
Healing often comes in small, furry packages. I have a 6-year-old toy Yorkie who frequently joins me. While he isn’t a registered service dog, he is an expert in providing comfort and a calming presence. He is available to join our sessions upon request (and rest assured, he is excellent at maintaining client confidentiality).

I have worked in health and human services in different parts of California for the past 30 years. I have been a telehealth psychotherapist since 2021. Just before the pandemic I was working with people who needed support to find housing and provide for their basic needs, as well as people needing substance use treatment. (Also, I have a good understanding of social services and mental health resources in the San Francisco Bay Area, especially Contra Costa County.
In my free time I enjoy baking, hiking, playing with my Boston Terrier, Bruno, and between the months of March and October, I watch a lot of baseball (Go Giants!).
Emotions are the language of energy. In this language, there are critical messages to be understood. Emotions communicate what your needs are. Your mind translates this information so that needs can be met. Sometimes, it feels unsafe to acknowledge your emotions so the intellect, instead, pushes emotions down. With emotions silenced, you become deprived of connection to yourself, to others and needs go unmet. In this deprivation, you also lose authenticity. The call to acknowledgement returns, again and again, louder and louder.
We can collaborate together to learn this language and to recover the gold of your authentic self. Its already there, where it has always been. Who you really are is full of potential, courageous, confident and quite worthy of connection. When you know this, there is an energy that arises as well. A motivation for action.
Wherever you are at on this journey, is where I want to meet you. What a victory that you have already taken the brave step of searching for a therapist. Celebrate that. Perhaps the next movement is to reach out. We can explore next incremental steps from there.

I have almost 10 years of experience in this field of work. Most of it has been with the geriatric population within various settings, as well as with individuals challenged with a severe mental illness in forensic environments. I am very familiar with the impact of trauma on the life cycle. Additionally, I work with young adults navigating school-work-life-family balance, setting priorities, making challenging life decisions and developing self esteem and confidence while learning to maneuver life's ongoing challenges.

My name is Javi Gonzalez, and I am a Hispanic therapist originally from Mexico. My personal and professional background has shaped the way I connect with clients, especially men from the Latino/Hispanic community who are navigating addiction, depression, cultural identity, family expectations, relationship conflict, anxiety, and stress.
I understand that many Latino men are taught to stay strong, keep problems private, and carry emotional pain alone. In therapy, I work to create a space where clients can be honest without feeling judged. My style is direct, respectful, practical, and compassionate. I believe clients deserve both support and honest feedback as they work toward meaningful change and resolve your problems.
My own life experiences have given me a deep respect for resilience, survival, and the effort it takes to build a different future. I know that issues like poverty, cultural pressure, family responsibility, community violence, immigration experiences, and addiction can deeply affect how a person sees themselves and relates to others.
I help clients identify unhealthy patterns, develop better coping skills, improve communication, and build healthier relationships with themselves, their partners, and their families. I especially enjoy working with Spanish-speaking clients who want therapy that feels culturally familiar, honest, and focused on real-life progress.
My goal is to help clients feel understood, take responsibility for change, and move toward a more stable, healthy, and meaningful life.
Providing a space to just be YOU while you explore different aspects of your life and your mental health while learning to navigate your emotions more effectively. Before any title, I'm a human being who values authenticity, compassion, and connection. I bring both my humanity and my clinical expertise into every therapeutic relationship. I believe that real change happens when we can be honest with ourselves and with each other.
I believe therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely safe, seen, understood, and supported while also being challenged to grow. My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, substance use, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I draw from evidence-based approaches while tailoring therapy to the individual, because no two people, experiences, or paths toward healing are the same. I encourage clients to use what is helpful and leave the rest. It has been my honor to serve as a past-President of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP), Los Angeles Chapter, for two terms and Education Chair for the Women's Association of Addiction Treatment (WAAT). I am grateful to have witnessed profound healing as both the Clinical Director and CEO of prominent eating disorder, substance use disorders, and mental health programs over the past 20 years.
As a veteran therapist in my 70s, I've helped hundreds get to where they want to go. I'll come along side you - not as a sage on the stage but a guide on the side. I provide a free 15-minute consultation to see if we're a good fit. I specialize in working with adults navigating through grief, failures, losses, depression, anxietym betrayals, uncertainties, setbacks, traumas, etc. I customize our sessions to your needs and wants (integrating client-centered, DBT, ACT, experiential, solution focused, and narrative modalities, from a faith-based perspective if desired). One of my life's mottos is "to see the best and to bring out the best in others." We'll explore and build on your strengths as we work towards moving from old patterns of thinking, feeling, and being that have held you back to becoming more of the best version of yourself.

I am Daniel Marshall, MSW, LCSW, an independent therapist based in San Diego providing dedicated 60-minute individual therapy sessions. My practice centers on culturally responsive, evidence-based care tailored to adults navigating anxiety, major life transitions, relationship dynamics, and identity development. I cultivate a grounded, collaborative, and entirely judgment-free space where you can dismantle unhelpful patterns, reconnect with your authentic agency, and build sustainable, practical strategies for long-term emotional resilience and personal clarity.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with individuals and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship challenges, life transitions, and patterns that can leave them feeling stuck or disconnected. My style is warm, down-to-earth, compassionate, and collaborative. I listen deeply without judgment while also offering honest reflection, insight, and practical tools to help you create meaningful change.
Many people come to therapy believing something is wrong with them. I approach things differently. I believe our emotional struggles, coping strategies, and relationship patterns often make much more sense when we understand the experiences that shaped them. Rather than simply focusing on symptoms, I help clients become curious about what is happening beneath the surface, why certain patterns developed, how they may have helped you cope or protect yourself, and whether they are still serving you today.
Therapy with me is a place where you can show up as you are. You don’t need to have everything figured out, know exactly what to say, or pretend that everything is okay. Together, we’ll work toward greater self-understanding, reconnecting with your strengths, developing healthier ways of coping and relating, and creating changes that feel meaningful and sustainable in your life.
Holding dual licensure as an LMFT and LPCC, I work with adolescents, adults of all ages, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, school and career concerns, major life transitions, grief, and stress. My background in both mental health and education allows me to understand the different challenges that can arise across the lifespan—from adolescence and young adulthood through midlife and older adulthood.
My approach integrates evidence-based therapies, including CBT and DBT-informed strategies, to help clients manage difficult emotions, change unhelpful patterns, strengthen relationships, and develop practical skills they can use in everyday life. I also provide CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia) for clients struggling with racing thoughts, disrupted sleep, and persistent insomnia.
I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood while also gaining concrete tools for meaningful change. Whether you are facing anxiety or depression, relationship or family concerns, school or career decisions, loss, or a significant life transition, therapy can provide both support and a practical path forward.
I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. I believe in meeting you where you are and working together at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I have experience supporting adults through challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship concerns, life transitions, stress, and employment-related challenges. I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on your needs, while keeping our work personal and realistic. Most importantly, I want you to feel that you have a safe space to be honest, process what you’re going through, and work toward meaningful change.
Hi, I’m Marissa! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy can be meaningful without feeling stiff or overly clinical. I work with adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, ADHD, grief, trauma, relationships, life transitions, and the general messiness of being human. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative, with plenty of room for humor, honesty, and those “wait…that actually makes so much sense” moments.
I provide a warm and welcoming space, free of judgements and bias. I am here to meet you right where you are because some seasons of life can be more challenging that others. I firmly believe that having a safe space to explore your thoughts openly can bring so much healing and growth. I will both, work with you and challenge you when needed. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I have built my career and experience on working to support children, teens, couples and adults. I have shifted gears to working primarily with adults in an individual setting to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and traumas while supporting life transitions. My clientele is made up of a mix of individuals facing challenges in life with adjusting to changes in life stages, experiencing overwhelming emotions and needing some help in building coping and balance with life's stressors, and those wanting to improve communication skills to achieve their relationship goals. If you are experiencing a life transition of any kind (career change, divorce, growing a family, struggling with grief and loss, being part of the sandwich generation -caring for aging parents while navigating into learning boundaries of parenting adult children, or a boomerang kid- -moved out and enjoyed independence from home, but life circumstances brought you back to your childhood home) I am here to help work through those challenges. If you've experienced trauma of sexual assault or suppressed sexual abuse for so long and see that it is now showing up and impacting your relationships and responses to the world around you- feeling fearful, difficulty trusting others, people pleasing, or feel like you have to wear a mask to get through daily life and keep things hidden, we will work at your pace.
