My name is Bill Massey and I am a licensed clinical social worker practicing in
west central Georgia and east central Alabama. I graduated from the University of Georgia's MSW program in 1993 and became an LCSW in 1996. I have worked in home health and hospice for most of my career with a strong emphasis on geriatrics and dementia care. I have experience in inpatient psychiatric settings and residential services as well.
I am looking to fill a niche that I have seen wanting attention for some time. For many years I have seen elders and their families in their homes but had to refer out any counseling other than crisis intervention to outpatient therapists. The problem is that I have been referring homebound people for outpatient therapy. This is not effective for many reasons.
With the help of Grow Therapy, I intend to offer my services of counseling and case management to people in the comfort of their own homes. I will become a mobile mental health provider to serve a population that has gone largely underserved for all too long. My coverage area for in-home therapy will be Lee, Russell, and Chambers counties in Alabama as well as Muscogee, Chattahoochee, and Harris Counties in Georgia.
I am opening up limited appointment times for virtual counseling as of mid May 2024.
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about helping adults navigate life’s challenges in a supportive and nonjudgmental space. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I believe therapy is a place where clients can feel heard, gain clarity, and develop tools to manage stress, improve relationships, and feel more confident in themselves.
I enjoy working with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, low self-esteem, and difficulty setting boundaries. In sessions, I focus on helping clients better understand their thoughts and emotions, identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and take small, meaningful steps toward positive change.
My goal is to help clients feel empowered, supported, and equipped with coping skills they can use in their everyday lives.

Hello, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor providing mental health services to clients in need for over 15 years in the state of Alabama. I am passionate and committed to the field of mental health. I understand clients' struggle grappling mental health issues because of my own experience managing family members with symptoms of mental illness. My path as a mental health provider became clear. After getting my master's degree in Community Agency Counseling, I sought experience in multiple settings to master the skills to provide care to diverse populations of clients. As a licensed therapist with over nine years of experience, I specialize in supporting individuals through complex emotional landscapes. My experience is centered on helping clients navigate challenges related to depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. I bring a compassionate, culturally responsive approach that honors each person's unique identity and lived experience. Hello, I'm Emily! I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist and I have 10 years experience in the therapy field. I enjoy working with individuals coping with a range of challenges, including substance use, anxiety and related disorders and trauma. I have a wide range of experience with various mental health challenges as well as working with those of multiple different backgrounds.
I believe therapy should provide more than a place to talk. It should help you understand what is happening, why it is happening, how it is affecting your life, and how to develop healthier ways of responding. I work predominantly with adult men experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, depression, and major life transitions. My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to your individual goals, with an emphasis on the whole person rather than simply treating symptoms.
I have worked in the counseling field for more than 14 years across a variety of settings and have been a licensed professional counselor since 2015. I earned my Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, as well as a Master’s in Religion and Christian Leadership, which provides additional preparation for clients who want to explore spiritual concerns or integrate their Christian faith into counseling.
I returned to school after getting married and having children, so I’m no stranger to balancing responsibilities, relationships, and stress. Those experiences have helped shape my belief that our mental and emotional health cannot always be separated from the other areas of our lives. Relationships, physical health, work, responsibilities, values, and spiritual concerns can all influence how we experience and respond to life's challenges.
My goal is to help you develop greater insight, build resilience, improve your emotional and relational well-being, and make meaningful changes that carry into everyday life. I would be honored to be invited into your story.
