(she/her)
I am Raven Lang, a licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly 20 years of experience in mental health, hospice, and medical social work. I have been providing therapeutic interventions for over 10 years. I am passionate about person-centered care, recovery, and advocacy. I am also the co-author of The Freeman's Family Feelings, a therapeutic coloring book created with a licensed professional counselor to help children explore and express emotions through art. My goal is to create a space where you can show up as your full self—without judgment. Together, we’ll work through challenges around anxiety, depression, or self-care, while focusing on building healthy boundaries and strengthening your voice in relationships and within yourself.
Our first session will be to establish common ground to build a great working rapport with each other.
Most often, Motivation Interviewing is the therapeutic approach of choice. Sessions will build on what's important to you, then lends itself to finding the root of the problem and also a quicker resolution.
My ideal client is someone who is willing and able to learn coping mechanisms to live an optim life. Everyday will not be perfect, but through counseling , the roots of behaviors will be identified to solve everyday issues.

I process CBT as a structured, short-term, goal-oriented form of psychotherapy that operates on the fundamental principle that an individual's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and that by changing dysfunctional thinking patterns and behaviors, people can change how they feel.
Grief Therapy
I have extensive knowledge of different theoretical frameworks, such as the stages of grief. I can distinguish between normal grief, complicated or prolonged grief disorder, disenfranchised grief, and traumatic grief, and provide information tailored to those distinctions.
