Hello, and welcome. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Tennessee with a Master of Social Work degree from Austin Peay State University. I have over five years of experience providing clinical social work services in a variety of settings, including private practice, hospitals, acute and long-term mental health facilities, and correctional institutions. These diverse experiences have allowed me to effectively support individuals from all walks of life and with a wide range of concerns.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but it can also be incredibly rewarding. In our first session, we will spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brings you to therapy, and identifying your goals. My focus is on creating a supportive, safe, and collaborative environment where you feel comfortable sharing and beginning the process of positive change.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is helping clients understand that they are not alone in their journey. I provide a steady, compassionate presence and work alongside you as you build insight, develop coping strategies, and regain a sense of control over your life. I am committed to meeting you where you are and supporting you every step of the way.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with clients of all ages who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or relationship challenges. I have a particular focus on teen and men’s issues, including men who have experienced trauma at work, at home, or in childhood. I offer a judgment-free, safe, and comfortable space, and I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to support each client’s unique goals.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use this treatment to better help clients understand how changing your thought pattern ultimately changes your behavior, promotes change, and helps you obtain the desired results you need to improve you life.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)
CBT-I helps you find out which thoughts and behaviors cause sleep problems or make them worse. You learn how to replace these thoughts and behaviors with habits that support sound sleep. Unlike sleeping pills, CBT helps you overcome the causes of your sleep problems.
