My name is Lydia Meroll, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a career focus on helping people navigate and heal from trauma. My practice is person centered, so you will always be setting your own goals, and I will not tell you what to do. I am here to help you navigate your needs and find what works best for you.
In your first session with me, I would like to open as much to you as much as possible to share who you are, what is going on in your life, and what you would like to focus on with me in therapy. I am ready to listen and share insight to help you identify your needs and goals, and potential avenues to explore in later sessions.
My innate curiosity and attention to detail provide me with a unique set of skills for helping to explore and identify avenues for growth that may easily be missed. Providing a judgement-free space to self reflect has always taken top priority in my practice. And most importantly, I am tailoring my treatment to you as a client. I do not believe in one-size-fits-all answers, and will check in frequently to check if adjustments or accommodation are needed.
I am especially well suited for helping people who are neurodivergent, including the autism spectrum and ADHD. I am also LGBTQ+ friendly and knowledgeable. I work well with individuals with personality disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder, and have years of experience with all of the aforementioned demographics. I work well helping to navigate depression, anxiety, PTSD, and dissociative disorders, and work well with the needs of people of all age ranges (children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and elderly.)
