Hi I'm Angela, and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. If you are struggling with general life stressors, anxiety, life transitions, parenting struggles, relationship tension- and you want to explore and develop a different way of engaging with your problems and the people in your life- I'd love to work with you so we can explore what is working, what is not working, and determine what is in your control to change so you can begin living a more fulfilled and meaningful life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

At our first session we can discuss any questions you have. I'll ask you where you want to start. And I'll ask you about what your hopes and expectations are for our work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Calm, relaxed yet engaged, collaborative, and curious. I like to look at what's going well as much as at what isn't. I like to offer practical actionable-steps, when appropriate.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT can help reveal unhelpful thinking patterns that can cause you to feel stuck. CBT can be helpful in developing coping strategies to manage stress.

Attachment-based

An attachment-based perspective can bring insight to factors that can lead to interpersonal difficulties and other relationship stressors.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

If you have tried CBT to alleviate unwanted emotions like anxiety, but it persists, ACT can be helpful in developing an acceptance of these undesirable feelings so more energy can be placed in exploring core values that you want to honor in your life choices and decision making.

Christian Counseling

As a Christian, I offer Christian counseling which integrates Christian faith and biblical wisdom into the professional counseling experience.
