New to Grow
Self-knowledge can only take us so far in dealing with our challenges. It may go deeper than that with our most persistent issues. It can be invaluable to have a trusted and non-judgmental person to help us see our blindspots and to provide insights that we can't see on our own. If you feel ready to talk about making more progress in your personal growth and recovery, I hope you'll schedule a session today.
In our first session, you'll be able to talk about the challenges you are having, what you have tried, and the goals that you have for yourself. We'll get to know each other a bit, and you can decide what things you would like to focus on making more significant progress on.
I see tremendous value in the EMDR model, as well as client-centered approaches to therapy. You are the expert on yourself and also the therapeutic relationship is very important to our success. I welcome open dialogue about what is working for you. I want to help in the recovery of trauma and stressor-related disorders, substance use disorders and mood disorders. Oftentimes, this involves a deeper approach which includes visiting core wounds, addressing them and then focusing on positive solutions.
I have knowledge and experience in working with addiction and the issues that commonly go along with it, including codependency, depression, anxiety and attachment styles. I prefer working in-person with clients in order to connect better. I enjoy working with clients who are eager to do the work to feel better. Sometimes being in emotional pain is a necessary step to motivate our growth.
