About me

Hello, I’m Wanda Earl, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in California with over 15 years of experience providing mental health services to adolescents, adults, and families primarily with diverse backgrounds. As passionate as I am about helping people, I’m even more compelled to help people help themselves. I believe in providing a safe space that encourages unfiltered communication and self-reflection, both of which I believe are vital for one to heal and foster growth. I acknowledge that life is precious but at times hard and a professional’s assistance with helping navigate through those challenges may be needed. Just like a scale, life has its ups and downs, and only the sturdiness of the scale (the scale being the individual) can determine its ability to carry the weight that is placed on it. If you feel that I can potentially be of service, please check my availability.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session the client can expect a welcoming and safe environment designed to foster trust and open communication. Both myself and the client will introduce ourselves, which helps in establishing a connection and identify if I’m an appropriate fit for their therapeutic needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked as a therapist for approximate 10 years, I've developed a level of security within my approach to treatment that has allowed me to maintain my authenticity while displaying a working knowledge of client treatment that promotes feeling supported and hopefulness about the therapeutic process.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with older adults who are in a transitional phase of their lives (e.g., empty nest, aging, newly single, loss of loved ones, relocation, switching careers, physical health concerns, challenges with adult children, no time for self, etc.) and unfortunately often don’t have a safe space to express their feelings due to lack of support or fear of judgement. I enjoy helping the maturing population navigate significant life changes and strengths their ability to cope with stressors.

I believe that our behavior and how we handle relational situations often stems from our upbringing. Understanding past experiences and analyzing how they influence our current emotions and behavior through open and honest exploration, in a space that you’ve determined to be safe, promotes healing.

I could check every single box of all of the positive categories. Doing that wouldn’t even come close to how I felt when my session ended. It’s always hard to start therapy with all of the what ifs, thoughts, etc before your appointment. The chances of finding someone who is even an ok fit on your first session are pretty rare. Finding Wanda was the universe knowing exactly what I needed & delivered. She is a true blessing. I don’t do reviews unless it’s over 5 or under 0. Wanda is a solid 10+!!

Wanda has been great these past 10 months. She listens without judgment and engages to let you know she carefully considers what you share. There is an ease talking to her that almost feels like talking to a good friend about the comings and goings of every day life. I recommend her to anyone looking for a genuine and pressure-free experience.
