Greetings, I am dual-certified in family and psychiatric mental health care as a Nurse Practitioner. I believe in treating my patients with respect and compassion. I have practiced for over six years in a variety of settings, including internal medicine, family medicine, and mental health. I enjoy working with diverse people from a variety of cultures, and I specialize in working with people of color to provide a safe space to focus on complete mental health.
My clients typically tell me how much better they feel after one session. We focus on rapport building initially and I want to hear your story! I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable or like they are giving up their past to someone they don't know. I believe in a trust-based relationship and going at your pace as you are comfortable. Mostly, clients tell me they feel like they have chatted with a friend but realize there has been growth in the conversation. To me, that is the way it should be.
As a clinician I enjoys working with all patients but I excel when managing both bipolar clients and clients experiencing episodes of anxiety and depression. While working with mood disorder patients I take a collaborative approach that has been successful at keeping clients engaged in their treatment and promoting medication compliance, which often leads to mood stability.
I love working with clients looking to address their mental health needs in a safe and therapeutic environment. I open my practice to all people and I can't wait to work with you.
