I am joining Grow Therapy coming from Mainspring Recovery, where I had been serving as the Clinical Supervisor. I have 17 years of experience in behavioral health, with a concentrated focus on mental health and substance abuse. My extensive experience in dealing with and treating substance abuse has placed me at the frontlines of mental health care.
My career has been marked by clinical leadership positions, including roles as a Team Lead providing clinical supervision to behavioral health practitioners and as a highly sought-after mental health consultant and advisor. My leadership and expertise have been instrumental in improving the quality of care in various settings.
I hold both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and the University of Central Missouri. Additionally, I possess numerous certificates and training in mental health, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia, Maryland, DC and Missouri.
You may feel desperate, alone, and misunderstood. You feel like you are floating in the bottom of a lake and cannot see the light above you. Everyday, you feel like you are just going through the motions. If this describes you, then I may be the therapist for you. In my nearly twenty years of experience, I have helped people like you reach their potential and achieve the recovery that they needed. There is no set system or quick fix as others may promise, but I will walk down the road with you. My primary focus is on helping you deal with ambiguity. Often our thoughts and subsequently what we teach ourselves becomes rigid and fairly black and white. Using a pragmatic and authentic approach to therapy I try and help you be okay with things that are beyond your control and work with you to establish yourself as the protagonist in your own story. This is primarily accomplished through conversation and allowing you the client to guide the therapy in the direction it needs to go.

Greetings to you and all
With a wish for good health and peace in your life.
My name is Sherby John. I have been working and learning along this journey, we call life, just as you have.
It can be a journey filled with joy and struggle. Have you reached a point where it seems there is more struggle than joy or feel stuck in the muck that seems to only get deeper or harder to transgress?
Then maybe it is time to find new paths and options by having a guide on this journey. Therapy can be a vehicle for change and development of workable tools to assist in continuing with this journey. Whether you are dealing with Depression, Life changes, Anxiety, Relationships, Trauma, or a new medical or mental health diagnosis, therapy can be a useful mechanism for support, discernment, and information.
I would like to provide you with a safe and welcoming environment and space to relieve yourself of these stressors through working on alternatives to current reactions to triggers or stressors in the way of continuing your journey, your way and at your own pace.
Come in.
Lets Talk.
Lets get to work.
I am a licensed professional counselor and a licensed clinical addictions specialist in the state of Colorado D.C., Virginia, New Mexico and North Carolina. I have been in the field of mental health since 2007. I have enjoyed working with a variety of clients including active-duty military, couples, teens, families, professionals, hospice and he medically compromised. Throughout my career, I have had the chance to help clients struggling with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, stress management, marital problems, parenting concerns, family issues, PTSD, military reintegration, addictions, abuse and trauma. Counseling is conducted for a variety of reasons, but everyone has one commonality in their reason for seeking counseling – change. counseling is the gateway to making personal changes and can assist in solving particular problems or learning to lead a healthier life. The counseling process can be interesting and exciting. It can also, at times, be very challenging, difficult and even painful. However, the goal will always be to bring about positive changes. I look forward to taking this journey with you.
I am a psychotherapist who works with a diverse population of people. My goal is to collaborate with individuals to assist them in achieving their therapy goal(S). My treatment modalities are cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, and Ericksonian hypnotherapy approaches. Although I used these modalities, I do not use a one size fits all approach. I am a think-out-of-the-box clinician that will often challenge clients to try approaches that may be out of their comfort zone. Some examples of my experience include working with individual clients on developing skills in coping with mental health conditions/diagnosis, life stress, finding balance, and improving self-esteem. Although I use these approaches, my clients tell me it feels like we are having a conversation as opposed to feeling like they are in a therapy session. I have a specialization in working with Veterans, LGBTQI, men, and people of color populations. However, I work with all people who are seeking mental health services. I am licensed in DC (LICSW), VA (LCSW), MD (LCSW-C), and PA (LCSW). I have BS in Human Ecology, BA in Humanities from The Ohio State University, MSW from San Jose State University and Post Masters fellowship in mental health from Stanford University.

Hello, I'm Kristin C. Jennings, LICSW. I believe lasting change begins with understanding the connection between our thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and overall well-being. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, creating a space where you can feel safe, heard, and supported while working toward meaningful change.
I specialize in helping adults navigate emotional eating, overeating, stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and challenges with self-worth. Together, we'll explore the underlying emotional patterns that may be keeping you stuck while building practical tools to help you develop healthier coping strategies and a more balanced relationship with yourself and food. I believe healing goes beyond willpower, it begins with self-awareness, self-compassion, and sustainable habits.
My therapeutic style integrates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. For clients who desire it, I also offer Christian counseling that thoughtfully integrates faith into the therapeutic process.
In addition to therapy, I incorporate my My Wellness Weigh-In™ Framework, which encourages clients to regularly check in with their spirit, mind, and body as a foundation for lasting wellness. I believe true healing happens when we care for the whole person, not not just the symptoms.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, struggling with emotional eating, or simply ready to create healthier patterns, my goal is to help you gain insight, build resilience, and move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and hope. It would be a privilege to support you on your journey toward healing and lasting wellness.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am committed to creating a compassionate, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and work towards meaningful personal growth. I strive to provide an empathetic and collaborative therapeutic relationship that empowers you to move toward the life you want to create.
Usually, my clients seek therapy and counseling after struggling with challenges for days and sometimes months. Over time, these same challenges create maladaptive behavior patterns that must be corrected to facilitate change. However, my clients tend to dig in while inserting a host of new concerns.
Albert Einstien wrote: "We can't solve today's problems with the mentality that created them" With this in mind, it is better to seek professional services and resources: Recognizing you're not alone in this healing process.
I understand that therapy cannot solve all things of the past that challenge us, but clients can seek support, understanding, and better days.
My passion is to help the world heal through community and humanity. I'm ready to help you define and rewrite your new beginning. This will allow you to sculpt the person you want to be.
Welcome!

As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, LICSW, I bring to the table a wide range of experience and perspectives on life. This is my second career, and I chose it because I strongly believe that I can help individuals improve their quality of life. Depression, anxiety, relationships, career difficulties, life transitions, burnout… these are some of the issues that cause us to lose our equilibrium. To reestablish equilibrium, we will use cognitive behavior therapy, my principle area of expertise. We will look at behaviors that aren’t working for you and replace them with behaviors that improve your daily life.
I believe wholeheartedly in a holistic approach to therapy and foremost is the importance of self-care. You will learn how self-care enhances self-respect, and how important these two factors are for establishing a firm foundation for the new, improved you. And there will be homework assignments each week related to current goals: the harder you work, the greater your progress. You have to be “in it to win it.”
My first career was in business, and I utilize some basic business principles in my psychotherapy, most notably organization skills and the allocation of your inner resources. This has worked well in my psychotherapy with chronic illness clients, with clients in the military, with business executives and retirees, new careerists, and parents, just to name a few.
Are you ready to work hard and bring your best game? I’m ready to work with you and show you how, together, we can build a better path forward. Visit me at http://linkedin.com/in/dturkat to see my unique dual career path and experience.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families navigating trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and complex relational and attachment wounds. My work is grounded in a nervous system awareness and a deeply relational approach that prioritizes safety, emotional truth, and meaningful change over symptom management alone.
Over the course of my career, including years in large healthcare systems and leadership roles, I witnessed how often well-intentioned treatment models fall short by focusing on compliance, pathology, or short-term stabilization rather than root causes. That experience fundamentally shaped how I practice today. I specialize in working with people who feel stuck, unseen, or disconnected from themselves and others, particularly those with long standing patterns rooted in developmental trauma, attachment injury, or chronic stress.
My clinical style is structured yet human, direct yet compassionate. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including IFS, ACT, CBT, DBT, and somatic practices, with a strong emphasis on insight, integration, and real-world application. I also offer expanded states of consciousness psychotherapy where appropriate, always within an ethical, intentional, and integration-focused framework.
I believe effective therapy is not about changing who someone is. It is about helping them understand shaped them and their nervous system responses, reclaim agency, repair relationships with themselves and others, and live with greater clarity and integrity. My role is to provide a steady, grounded space where difficult truths can be explored safely and where meaningful, lasting change becomes possible.
Hi! I'm Veronica, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-C) with over 12 years of experience providing therapy. Many of us yearn for a sense of peace, connection, and well-being in our lives. However, life circumstances and internal struggles can often hinder our ability to experience these deeply fulfilling states.
I believe in creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your challenges and emotional pain. My goal is to support your growth and healing journey, empowering you to cultivate greater self-awareness, develop effective coping mechanisms, and live a more fulfilling life.
Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with my family (two teenagers and three dogs), practicing Pilates, and cheering on the Celtics.
I am licensed in Maryland, DC, Virginia, Minnesota and Ohio.

My name is Juanita Fontenot, and I believe in a person-centered approach to everything, as we are humans first. I also think the resiliency of the human spirit is often unnoticed but should be celebrated. We all have value, and once you believe this, the impact is life-changing. I want to work with you! You who have doubted your value because of what others have said, you who want to make a change, but feel stuck because it's just too much, you who are willing to do the work to make the change you wish to see. Hi there! I'm Nadine. I am a bubbly, kind, and caring therapist. I go above and beyond for my clients, and I am so glad that you have taken this step in your healing journey. Having lived and worked in several regions of the country, I bring clinical experience, cultural awareness, and a deep commitment to caring for the whole person.
My counseling is clinically informed, gospel-centered, and Bible-based. Christian faith is not an add-on to my work; it is the foundation that shapes how I understand people, suffering, relationships, healing, and hope. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, parenting, pregnancy, postpartum, and women’s issues, and with couples working through conflict, communication, and trust.
You do not have to have everything figured out to begin. My desire is to create a space marked by care, honesty, and careful listening as we look together at your story, your patterns, your pain, and your hopes.

Hi, I'm Erin! The one thing I love about being a therapist is being able to help individuals break the cycles in their lives that cause them feelings of "being stuck." I utilize a mix of tools/ interventions from Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy that allow clients to explore unresolved issues, challenge their thoughts, and develop insight into barriers that can be blocking their growth.
