I am excited about the success my clients have accomplished. It is their discovery that is most interesting: for example, it is possible to change personality even though we have always been told it never happens! We approach this by exploring emotions that form the building blocks of personality. In this sort of work, I find that the most effective therapy happens when clients and I form a interpersonal therapeutic bond of trust. By the way, when I say that change is possible , I really believe it, and I am confident that if you are willing to work on what many would call impossible...building trust...you will leave our sessions feeling a sense of increased wholeness. (Today also marks the beginning of a new partnership with Teach America! I have loved Teach America since they began. Grow Therapy and I are offering 20 counseling sessions to Teach America members free of charge!)

Hello! I am so glad you came across my profile; and that you are considering taking this very important step towards changing your life. I am a licensed clinical social worker, based in the Raleigh Durham area of North Carolina. I am licensed in North Carolina, Connecticut, Florida, and Texas. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and my graduate degree from the University of Georgia.
I have spent the majority of my career in healthcare settings and working with adults who are experiencing challenges with mental health. I help clients with long-term health conditions find effective coping skills as well as meaning and acceptance in their diagnosis. I have also worked with children who have a loved one facing a life-altering medical diagnosis.
My experience is not limited to working with individuals who are facing a medical diagnosis, as I also have worked extensively with clients facing depression, anxiety, interpersonal challenges, self-esteem issues, and end-of-life challenges. I view therapy as a collaboration, as you are the expert of your own life; we will work jointly to create a treatment that is both realistic and meaningful so that you can live a full and value-driven life!
I have a certificate to provide tobacco cessation counseling for individuals looking to live a smoke-free lifestyle.
I know how easy it is to become the person everyone depends on while quietly carrying stress, pressure, anxiety, or emotional pain underneath the surface. Many of the clients I work with are high functioning professionals, caregivers, parents, and leaders who are used to pushing through life while putting their own emotional needs on the back burner. Over time, that emotional weight can start showing up in relationships, work, sleep, mood, self esteem, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself.
My goal as a therapist is to create a space where you no longer feel like you have to hold everything together alone.
I specialize in EMDR therapy and work with adults and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship stress, and emotional overwhelm. My approach is warm, grounded, and direct. I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation with someone who is present, engaged, and genuinely invested in helping you heal and grow.
Together, we will explore not only what is happening in the present, but also how past experiences may still be shaping the way you think, feel, react, and connect with others today. EMDR can help reduce the emotional intensity connected to painful experiences so you can move through life with greater clarity, confidence, and peace.

Hi, I’m glad you’re here. Starting therapy can feel like a lot, so I focus on building a down-to-earth space where you can just be yourself and speak freely. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 8 years of experience working with clients across the lifespan, and my practice primarily focuses on adolescents and adults.
Over the last nearly a decade, I have walked alongside people dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, and major phase-of-life changes. My background includes a mix of fast-paced crisis intervention and deep individual therapy. Because of that, I know how to help you find quick grounding tools when things feel overwhelming, while also doing the deeper work to figure out what comes next. Ultimately, we will work together to help you process what you've been through and build a life that feels more meaningful and manageable to you.
Hi, I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) serving clients in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. I hold a Doctorate in Education in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University and bring nearly 20 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges. My clinical focus centers on helping clients develop personalized coping strategies to manage and improve symptoms associated with mood disorders. Over the years, I’ve worked extensively with women facing barriers to treatment, offering compassionate, culturally attuned care that fosters resilience and healing
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over four years of experience helping adults overcome life's challenges and discover hope, healing, and lasting change. I work with adults ages 18–64 experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, and other emotional difficulties.
As a Christian, I also enjoy supporting individuals whose faith is an important part of their lives. For clients who desire it, I can thoughtfully integrate Christian values and biblical principles into the therapeutic process. I have a special passion for working with Christians and Preacher's Kids (PKs), recognizing the unique pressures, expectations, and emotional challenges that can come with ministry families. Whether you're wrestling with burnout, identity, church hurt, family dynamics, or balancing faith with everyday life, therapy can provide a safe place to process your experiences without judgment.
