My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I've used this approach for many years. It has served clients who are looking for solutions to their problems so they can be addressed and worked on promptly. This has been beneficial for those who want to address symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, relationship stressors, and general life stressors. Ultimately, the client has the power, knowledge, and ability to make the necessary changes in their life. This approach, among others, will help them achieve their desired goals.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I have utilized this approach for clients who want to explore their thoughts, feelings, and emotions as they each relate to the world around them. When this approach is being utilized, clients will since my authenticity and genuineness. This method is used when I sense the client needs to be listened to and affirmed.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT has been used since I have started in the field of mental health. This is a method I use to help clients reach longer lasting changes in their way they think, feel, and behave. I offer it as teaching tool that clients will be able to apply in a variety of aspects of life.

Couples Counseling

Counseling with a partner can be difficult and the conversations that arise can be uncomfortable. When using this method, I've minimized the hardship of couples issues and emphasized the importance of effective communication and healthy relationship boundaries between couples.
