I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood, and I value building strong therapeutic relationships based on trust, empathy, and collaboration. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and adaptable to each individual’s unique needs and goals. I understand that every person comes into therapy with different experiences, strengths, and challenges, so I aim to meet clients where they are while helping them build practical tools for growth and healing. I enjoy working with young adults and adults who may be navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, identity exploration, relationship difficulties, or feelings of being overwhelmed or stuck. My goal is not only to help clients manage current struggles but also to empower them to better understand themselves, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives. Above all, I want clients to feel that therapy is a space where they can be themselves without fear of judgment while receiving support, encouragement, and guidance throughout their journey.

Hi, I’m Romy, a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Sana Sana Counseling, PLLC. As a first-generation college graduate and someone who was the first in my family to navigate the college experience, I understand the pressure that can come with balancing family expectations, identity, education, and building a life of your own. I’m a warm, down-to-earth therapist who believes therapy should feel like a space where you can show up as your whole self, without judgment or having to explain every part of who you are. I especially enjoy working with Latinx/Latina(o)/Hispanic clients, people of color, first-generation college students and professionals, and anyone navigating the complexities of culture, family, relationships, and identity. My approach is compassionate, culturally responsive, and rooted in understanding how our past experiences can shape the way we relate to ourselves and others. I have experience supporting clients through grief and loss, trauma, relational and attachment concerns, anxiety and depression, college and academic stress, and major life transitions. Whether you’re working through something painful from the past, feeling stuck in the present, or simply trying to figure out what comes next, my goal is to help you feel understood, build awareness, and develop tools that support the life and relationships you want. Hello, I was born and raised in Stockton, California. I enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 17 and in 1997, after 25 yeas of service, I retired from the Marine Corps as a Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Marine Corps, I worked as a Farrier (Horseshoer), as well as a structural welder (Ironworker), as those were the most marketable skill that I had. I came to a point where old injuries came back to haunt me and I could no longer walk (several years later, thanks to a surgery through the VA, I can walk again; thankful for that). At this point, I changed professions and out of a desire to work with veterans, I returned to school, accomplishing all that was necessary to become a licensed counselor. I spent another career working for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically as a counselor in the Readjustment Counseling Service (Vet Center). I recently retired from the Vet Center and now I work part-time here with Grow Therapy. As a retired Marine senior staff Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) and disabled combat veteran myself, the Vet Center was the perfect job. Vet Centers provide readjustment counseling to combat veterans and provide counseling to survivors of military sexual trauma (MST). Vet Centers also provide group counseling, bereavement counseling and couples counseling when this is determined to be of support to the veteran. Readjustment counseling many times consists of treating/addressing symptoms related to post-traumatic stress (PTSD), I.e., anxiety, depression, exaggerated startle response, hypervigilance, sleep disturbance, etc. Many veterans go on to work as first responders and working with many first responders as well as medical personal, has provided me with a great deal of additional experience.

Hi there, I'm Farah Ali. I am a licensed clinical social worker, psychotherapist, and dedicated advocate for my clients. My educational foundation is based in psychology and social justice, having earned my master's degree in social work with a dual concentration in community practice and clinical mental health. Driven by a strong commitment to human rights and social justice, I am dedicated to advocating for every individual I work with and the communities I am part of. My Core Principles as a Therapist: Focusing on Strengths & Empowerment: Central to our work is helping you to more deeply connect to—and really use—your inherent strengths. This means looking for growth opportunities where some might find roadblocks and accessing both internal and external resources to help you make the changes you want to see in your life. Working for Comprehensive Wellness: Therapy is a place where we can work toward mental and emotional wellness, learn how to foster positive relationships, and discover a greater sense of balance and ease in your day-to-day life. Promoting Connection & Authenticity: The relationship we have is vital, which is why I work hard to make sure our relationship is a nurturing space for meaningful growth. Creating Safety in Being Seen: I strive to make our sessions a place where every emotion is valued, encouraged, and supported—yes, even the “bad” or “undesirable” emotions. This is the space we cultivate together in our work, and space that is here to help you more deeply see yourself, and be seen in your authenticity.

I am a bilingual therapist (English & Spanish) that believes therapy should be a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. Reaching out for help takes courage, and you do not have to face life’s challenges alone. I support adults and older adults experiencing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, panic attacks, burnout, chronic stress, grief, chronic pain, and difficult life transitions. I also work with individuals navigating divorce, relationship and marital concerns, family conflict, women’s and men’s issues, caregiving responsibilities, retirement, and adjustments related to medical conditions or changes in health. Many clients seek therapy when they feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward. I provide support in exploring the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may be impacting your relationships, work, and overall quality of life. Together, we will identify your strengths, develop healthier coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and create practical solutions to help you regain balance and confidence. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and personalized to your unique needs and goals. I utilize evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and strengths-based counseling to help you better understand yourself, manage symptoms, and create meaningful change. Therapy is tailored to your individual experiences, values, and personal journey. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges while building resilience, improving relationships, and developing the skills needed to create a more fulfilling life. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, emotional burnout, relationship difficulties, chronic stress, chronic pain, or adjusting to a major life transition, I am here to support you in taking the next steps toward healing and growth. I’m a licensed clinical social worker practicing in Houston, Texas with extensive experience in mental health treatment across diverse populations, especially ethnicity, gender, age, religious, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status. My journey in the mental health field began during my undergraduate studies, where I first became involved in victim advocacy. This experience deepened my understanding of social dynamics, (in)justice and human behavior, leading to dual bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Women’s Studies. While pursuing my graduate degree, I worked at the National Domestic Violence Hotline, further honing my skills in crisis intervention and critical thinking/problem-solving . After earning a Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin, I completed a post-graduate fellowship focused on psychiatric rehabilitation of veterans with severe mental illness. I further advanced my clinical skills when joining The Menninger Clinic staff, where I spent five years specializing in the treatment of business professionals facing mental health crises, young adults navigating the transition into adulthood, and clients experiencing severe mental health challenges, including suicidal ideation. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, after recognizing the urgent need for increased access to mental health care I established my private practice, Therapy by Ivy, PLLC. Since then I have offered individual telehealth sessions to adult clients seeking to improve their mental health and enhance their lives. In 2023, I expanded my practice to include in-person sessions while continuing to provide telehealth sessions. Based in the Houston Heights area, I am proud to offer flexible session options, accept most major insurance plans, and self-pay sliding fee for the uninsured or underinsured.

Born and raised in the inner city by a single mother and a large extended family, I noticed the needs of those that were mentally or physically diagnosed were often not met. Therefore, I began to inquire about what I needed to do in order to be a part of the solution. I began to work in the field and I have worked in Behavioral/Mental Health for close to 20 years. My experience covers a plethora of ages and diagnosis across many settings. My determination to treat and support those with mental health diagnosis during the pandemic inspired me to perform outpatient therapy via telehealth to adults and adolescents. I specialize in adults 25-55 with various diagnoses but primarily Anxiety, PTSD, trauma and Depression to name a few. I love to utilize CBT, CPT, trauma informed care (TIC) and Motivational Interviewing as treatment modalities.

Hello Friend and welcome to my practice, Pragmatic Solutions Therapy, PLLC! I am an experienced psychotherapist with over 20 years. I've worked in private practice and in the clinical hospital setting and now own my a thriving practice. I have passion, dedication and ethical standards to which I uphold in every session with every client. My basic mantra in life is simple: Drop the baggage and take the value. Step out of that box and if you can't change the problem, then change the way you see it using a different perspective. Everyone at one point or another in life experiences a host of unbearable stressors which may leave one feeling stressed or 'out of sorts'. We may even describe that feeling as 'lost in a web of frustration', which feels like anxiousness, fatigue, and perhaps sadness; as if our unique threshold has been completely depleted. Feeling anxious is normal. Feeling stressed is actually a sense of determination to gain back control, though if comes with temporary tiredness. Anxiousness is innate in all of us. What's not healthy is when stressors cross the threshold of your wellbeing and you stay stuck there, feeling uncomfortable, which interrupts our daily habits/responsibilities to 'fix things' and you are left in solitude. I’ll help you navigate the web of confusion to find empowerment. Respectfully, Monica Pina
