Hello, I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. I have been practicing for 10 years as a psychotherapist. I have over 20 years of experience in various nonprofit and social service agencies. My therapeutic approach has been to take a whole person approach with each individual that I have a pleasure to service. My focus is on fostering this experience authentically in session.
Hi! I'm Dr. Laurel Buxbaum, a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania since 1989. I have a background in cognitive neuropsychology and extensive experience helping people with stress, anxiety, depression, career, family, and relationship issues. By combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with many other different approaches, as needed, in a warm and supportive atmosphere, I can offer clients a number of strategies for success and growth.
I am licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) committed to helping people heal and grow from their past and live an authentic life. I help clients navigate life transitions: college/young adulthood, becoming caregivers for parents, perimenopause/menopause, and coming to terms with late-diagnosed neurodivergence. I am especially passionate about helping people navigate relationships with emotionally immature parents and adults. In addition to clinical work, I also have a background in higher education and career counseling.
Therapy is a journey, whether you are familiar to the process or just beginning, I am so glad you are here. I'm a licensed counselor with a diverse background, I enjoyed working with those who were incarcerated make better choices for their future on the outside, working with those in active addiction trying to do something to make recovery possible, and working in a busy outpatient mental health clinic. With each experience, I learned how to work with various populations and enhance my skills. The most rewarding part of my job is seeing the "light blub" moment occur with a client or helping a client heal when they are struggling.

Greetings, I'm Taylor Isley Clark, the founder of Finding Healing and Balance Clinical Practice. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from Lincoln University of Pennsylvania and am a Licensed Professional Counselor. My professional journey has been enriched by working with children, adolescents, and adults in both family and individual settings. Over the past several years, I've had the privilege of assisting clients from diverse backgrounds. I've witnessed remarkable transformations and progress, whether it was during in-home sessions, at schools, in homeless shelters, or through telehealth services. The potential for positive change is truly inspiring.
I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over 9 years of experience. I'm passionate about helping others navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and self-compassion. I have extensive experience and training working with a variety of needs including but not limited to anxiety, depression, self-injury, behavior and emotion-based challenges, trauma, problematic sexual behavior, self-esteem, and relationship conflicts.
My aim is to empower, support, and motivate clients to develop tools in the areas of emotion regulation, communication, and self-awareness to aid in reducing unhealthy behaviors, relationships, and barriers.
Hello and welcome. I’m Beth, a licensed clinical social worker. I believe that life can be overwhelming, and we may need extra support at times to navigate it. My goal is to provide a supportive and safe place for people to work toward personal goals and improve their overall wellbeing. My approach is person-centered and strength based so your goals and strengths are highlighted in our work together. I strive to help individuals feel safe to explore the difficulties they may be experiencing regarding issues such as anxiety, depression, and coping skills. I utilize a warm, nonjudgmental, collaborative approach to provide support while exploring these difficulties.
I am a compassionate therapist who is dedicated to supporting individuals with care and respect.
Whether you are navigating a new season of life, feeling stuck, or looking for better balance, therapy can be a space to support you.
I work with adults who may look like they have things together on the outside but internally feel anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or simply exhausted from carrying everything on their own. You may be dealing with anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief or loss, major life changes, identity concerns, work stress, or just the feeling that something in your life needs to change.
My approach is warm, straightforward, and down-to-earth. Therapy with me is a real conversation—not a clinical interrogation or a place where you have to say the “right” thing. We’ll work together to understand what’s happening, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical ways to move forward.
I also incorporate evidence-based approaches, including CBT, while tailoring therapy to the person in front of me. You won’t get a one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling understood, but also with greater clarity about yourself and where you want to go next.
In addition to my therapy work, I also work as an ICU nurse, which has deeply influenced my perspective on stress, trauma, and the complexity of being human. That experience allows me to bring a grounded, compassionate, and realistic understanding of life’s pressures into the therapy room.
Outside of work, I value quiet, restorative time. I enjoy working out, staying active, and taking care of my own well-being. I love spending time at home with my husband and our pets, and I’m a big fan of unwinding with a good movie. I believe balance, connection, and moments of calm are essential — not just luxuries — and I often help clients explore how to build more of that into their own lives.
Hi, I’m Kendal McDowell and I have years of experience working with teens and older, with a primary focus on working with college students and college athletes. Having been a college athlete myself, I'm familiar with the joys and stressors of collegiate life. College can be an exciting and eye opening experience, but sometimes it can also open our eyes to some things within ourselves or those around us we may not have noticed before.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. I congratulate you on starting your journey, and I’m here to make sure that it is meaningful to you. My approach is client-centered and integrative. I believe in empowering individuals to make positive changes and lead fulfilling lives. I am passionate about creating a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions, develop coping strategies, and achieve their goals.

I have an LPC and an LMFT and have been seeing clients since 1996. I have extensive training in helping people who are going through or have experienced narcissistic abuse and any form of childhood trauma, this includes verbal and emotional abuse, family addictions, or any early childhood experience that would cause one to feel unsafe. I am also experienced in the treatment of anxiety, worry and mood concerns and work with addictions, obsessive compulsive behaviors and any poor coping skills or core beliefs that were developed in order to manage these stressors. I use practices primarily focused on somatic and cognitive therapy but also utilize acceptance commitment therapy, internal family systems, mindfulness and am solution focused. I use homework and assignments aimed at regulating the nervous system in order to repair the fight/flight/freeze response that is often stuck on due to a continuous history of a variety of life stressors (trauma). This trapped and stored trauma continues to trigger the nervous system to respond in ways where we continue to feel unsafe, even after the threats have passed. By working with the nervous system to release this trapped trauma and find safety, we can then have the opportunity to respond to the world differently.

This stage of life can bring many questions about direction, purpose and relationships. Together, we'll facilitate how you want to show up in the world. Perhaps you're feeling stuck, unsure of your next step, or noticing patterns that no longer serve you. Together, we’ll take time to explore what’s getting in the way of the life you want to live. Psychotherapy is a space where you can show up, be your authentic self, slow down, reflect, and begin to experience yourself in a setting to realize yourself. Our conversations will focus on how you relate to your thoughts, feelings, body and the people around you as well as to the broader world. By paying close attention to your speech, we can begin to grasp patterns and themes that are facilitating you to flourish and those that are keeping you stuck. My goal is to support you as you gain greater freedom to choose how you create your lived experience. Let's talk.

For many years, I worked as a retail manager, where I gained valuable insight into human behavior, conflict resolution, and the importance of mentoring others through life's challenges. Those experiences taught me that every person has a unique story, and with the right support and perspective, they can discover the strength and wisdom they already possess. I approach each person with honesty, compassion, an open mind, and a willingness to think outside the box. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, I believe in helping people uncover the answers that align with their own journey, empowering them to recognize their strengths and make meaningful connections that foster growth and healing. My role is to walk alongside you as you navigate life's questions and challenges. Drawing from both my professional background and my own lived experiences, I strive to provide guidance, encouragement, and a safe space where you can gain clarity, build confidence, and move forward with purpose.
