Provides down to earth, common sense therapy sessions with no judgement or evasiveness. I have a holistic view of therapy.... mainly using CBT but will use other formats if that is what you need to make your life better. I care and I am invested in every person who comes to me for therapy sessions.
In our first session I will ask several questions about a client's background so I can determine if there is any related trauma that plays a role in their current situation. It may be repetitive of some of the questions they were asked on their intake form, but it will be a bit more specific. I wish to build a relationship that makes a client comfortable to talk about their life.
I feel my biggest strength is the life experience that I have and my ability to help others work through situations because they identify they are not alone.
CBT helps a person learn to consider alternative ways to address the issues in their life. Talk therapy is a healing therapy. When two people can discuss common issues and seek answers to problems, life can improve.
